It’s BS with math stuck on top to hide the trick.  Math is just what is sprinkled on top to hide the slight of hand.  He’s not even actually arguing against miles per gallon.  One way to argue against something is to argue for it so badly that no one believes you.  It’s an old old technique.  It even has a name. I forget what it is though.  I’ve heard it referred to as “please mr wolf don’ throw me in that briar patch” that is in no way a formal term though.  The concept is far far older than bra’re rabbit.

Short barrel on .556 means lots of muzzle flash and reduced power generally. Presenter is saying 300 blackout but 300 blackout is 762, and the round shortage is just as bad as every other shortage.  GL finding 300 blackout.  762 is bigger and shorter so it may do a bit better with short barrels.  The inclusion of that forward extension implies no though.  I don’t know what that forward extension is.  762 is a supersonic round. 300 blackout isn’t but whether you can actually get any is another question.  If that thing is a suppressor it’s not going to do much simply because .762 produces way more gas than that little suppressor can hold.  If it’s a suppressor. (Dude says it is.  I’m not convinced)  Generally if you want a small light gun you need a small light round because small light gun means small light barrel.  There seems to be a repeating tendency in the videos for small guns firing bullets that are really too big for the weapons.  You can make a small gun that fires big bullets but they tend to simply spill their additional performance out the front in the form of big muzzle flashes and a great deal of noise.

i've seen this like a half a dozen times and it's still hard to understand

(WARNING: I EDIT MY POSTS ALL THE TIME. GRAMMAR IS HARD.)

"As I, a humble internet browser who frequents the forum of the well known internet tech YouTuber 'Linus Tech Tips', named after host Linus Sebastian, have trouble understanding the intent of the authors' post, I find solace in the fact, that I am indeed not alone in my confusion. While I stumble through the comments above, I am reminded of a quote which helps me to cut through ambiguous and unnecessary verbiage. The simple eloquence of the phrase often uttered on internet forums leaves any reading it in no doubt as to the true intent of the wording. I believe that I, and indeed all of us can take a lesson from the message left by it:"

Shampoo is only useful for long hair.  People with crew cuts can just soap their head.  This has long been known.  Shampoo for men was a 60’s thing because hairstyles got long.  For a while there was an issue because there were no shampoos for men and Jhonson’s baby shampoo became briefly very popular because it wouldn’t hurt if you got any in your eyes (a lot of men weren’t used to even USING shampoo) and it wasn’t a “ladies” product. It was a reasonable thing for a guy to buy.

Nobody told me that but growing up I thought the same myself. however now I have realized that being careless and not being a responsible rider/driver is what gets people in crashes not the high performance vehicle itself.

Already posted this one.  I consider stuff like that expected risk with firearms myself You shoot yourself, the thing blows up, not much difference.  This guy even does dumb things with big firearms.
