When I go to FAHControl -> Configure -> Expert (tab) it just shows me two columns: "Extra Client Options" and "Extra core options" and the ability to add/remove values from these columns.
By default I have only "open-web-control: True" in the Extra Client options tab.
If I try to add something it asks me to key in a name and value.. what name and value do I need to key?

Right okay, ignore web control. Open advanced control then go to configure to expert tab then add to extra client options> first box client-type and underneath put advanced then save- done!

What exactly does setting your client-type to 'advanced' do? Does it make WU assignment servers treat you preferentially or something?
Or does it make your client more aggressively request WUs?

You get late stage beta WU's. They might be a little more risky as they are late stage beta WUs, but I've never seen one fail.

Keep your eye open for project 14541 it and my GPUs don't get along to well.

Found two 14541 projects in my logs and there were no error either.

 I've got a stock RX 580 and a RX 590 keeps saying they are overclocked about 1/2 they time they recover from the check point other 1/2 the fail

Somethings not right here. Had both PC's running all day but didn't gain any points.

Also the stats don't match

I started on the 22nd and did approx 1.5 million outside of the event. This doesn't ad up. 

 

Yesterday's were also inexplicably lower than expected but I thought it must have been a bad day. 

This makes no sense though. 

 

Think I'm short by about 1 million points.

No you aren't. It's just that the stats pages can't keep up as we're choking the servers ATM. And by choking I really mean squeezing every last WU out of them as soon as they come available   In fact, it's the re-occurring theme here and if you'd paid a little more attention here you'd have known this is still a major issue

It looks like the F@H servers have been getting hit pretty hard these past couple days. When things get overloaded, the stats feed become the low priority on the update list (hence, all the 0 updates). Rest assured, any WUs you send back to the servers are safe and will get processed eventually, just please be patient! The F@H team has been diligently bringing more servers online, but I think there are so many idle clients out there it still far exceeds all the new capacity.

I'm almost half way through and it seems fine so far. Is your CPU or GPU overclocked? 14541 seems to be hitting the CPU quite hard as well so if you have an overclock on the CPU then that might cause it to crash.

Had not received a WU for several hours, in spite of re-pausing and re-folding, and restarting the client, and the computer. Went ahead and did the advanced client-type option, got a WU immediately.
That client can really benefit from some polishing.
