Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

This event has ended and I recommend you guys head over to the Folding Community Board for any general folding conversation.

It sounds awesome until the GPUs start cooking themselves and you start smelling something other than the coffee.  Coffee-themed water loop build with coffee colored water?  Mocha colored components or case and whatnot?

You could run a clean GPU water loop with a milled heat exchange coupling between the the dirty coffee loop and the cards.

Fire up the GPU, get em good and hot folding, turn on the coffee maker loop with a slow pump to allow the exchanged water to get nice and hot... mmm coffee.

I would be happy to demonstrate how this could work if someone wants to sent me two corsiar water loop kits and some GPU blocks ;)

You tried deleting the GPU slot in the advanced panel, waiting 5-10 minutes, and re-adding it?  If so, you may just have most of the bad luck from some of us.

I haven't. I'm tryin gnow, keeping fingers crossed.

My i7 3770 got a doozy of a WU earlier today.  It's been running for about 15 minutes and just broke 1%.  It's indicating 22 hours to completion, which is a heck of a lot better than the 15.00 days it was showing initially!  Project: 14190 (Run 19, Clone 221, Gen 5)  Most WUs it's been getting have been completed in 2-3 hours.

EDIT: it looks like Project 14190 has the highest base score of any CPU WUs at 5500.

I find that pausing the individual slot is one of the soft reboots vs restarting the computer/client software/removing and re-adding part slot.

This morning I changed "next-unit-percentage"   to  98 and all day long I've had the next WU lined up ready when the last one finished on both GPU's and CPU WUs. I don't know if I've just been lucky or if it made a real difference.

According to the Internet the perfect brewing temperature for coffee is 86-96°C (186.8-204.8°F).

If we don't wanna brew it in there but just keep it warm we can go much lower, to 67°C (152.6°F)

So we just need the new Intel processors. ++++++++++++++++++++ = Coffee

Yay?  🙂  For perspective, I've only been Folding since 9 March (just a little over three weeks, with a GTX 1080 as the most powerful tool in my inventory)... don't know how significant that is, but a cool milestone nonetheless.

The thing is, even though it says clone, it is not a perfect copy, 'clones' have different parameters working on the same cloned protein

Pretty surprised I got 78k points out of three work units yesterday (and 56k out of two work units submitted so far today), considering I only got 18k for four units on Sunday. Might be because I'm getting larger tasks (I'm likely going to roll over the CPU fold I'm currently working on to tomorrow, since it's been going for seven hours and is estimated to finish in nine hours' time), might be the bonuses for having a passkey kicking in (having submitted 18 WUs since adding said passkey).

Hopefully this holds up, as it'll make the 500k total target way easier to hit.

Maaaaan I keep yoyo'ing because most of my WUs take ~1.5 hours, so in some 3 hour slots I'll get 6-8 done and in others I'll get 3 lol.

R5 3600, 5700 XT, AX370 K7...  and that's plenty for me.  If you ignore the masses of other parts I occasionally put together and laugh about.
