Don't look at the average, look at the update and today column, these are the ones that are most representative.

Well, I haven't had any difference in PPD myself, but you can try running at High priority (you can easily change that in configuration).

That being said, DO NOT, and I repeat myself, DO NOT run High priority if you are gonna use ALL CPU CORES. You will probably find yourself with unusable or frozen Win10 and you will have to manually restart whole PC.

As of today, all malls, restaurants, pubs and cinemas should be closed in Serbia. Restaurants are however allowed to do take-out.

Is that IF you are running a GPU as well, or anytime? Because I run my 9600k at 100% on all 6 cores and have never had a problem in the about 7 months I've been Folding with it like this. Running it like this actually reduces my overall clock speed, which consumes less power and creates less heat, but WUs take only about 2/3 the time compared to running at medium, so cost per WU is cheaper and when my system needs CPU cycles, it gets them easily (talking basic web browsing, mail, watching videos etc, not actual CPU intensive stuff).
Started running the BOINC client to run Rossetta@Home while waiting on WUs from the F@H server and it's not that nice, it ramps my cores all up to max boost, normally 4.3Ghz and uses about 15-20W more power than F@H. I even tried running them both at the same time and still haven't had any system issues or instability (clocks drop to about 4-4.1Ghz) and I'm in the Caribbean with avg room temp of 26C> and only a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 cooler with 2x120mm fans, 3 120mm intake fans and 1 120mm exhaust fan at the top of my CoolerMaster NR600 case and max temps with Rossetta of about 77C.

Anyone on here running really old hardware? Oldest I'm running currently is an early Core 2 Duo. I want to get my Compaq Deskpro EN with a Slot 1 PIII up and running with Mint and FAH. I tried a Pentium D but all it did was heat the room and take longer, so I swapped back in the lower clocked C2D.

I'm running on a Core2 Quad, but not even using my CPU, just my RX570

The discussion was not about running medium/full, it was about changing the process priority.

Anyone know a good workaround for Remote Desktop? It keeps causing a failure on my GPU while it's working. Trying to keep an eye on my temps while not in front of the computer. Plus I like being able to use my computer from my phone. RX 5700 XT and Ryzen 5 3600X.

Thank you and keep up the good work.

What kind of Remote Desktop software are you using? I often use Chrome Remote Desktop for a kind of quick and dirty solution but it always works

K. Well not sure if it's the same, probably an advanced option, but in the standard tools I have my priority set to "Slightly Higher" in the advanced tab, don't/haven't messed around with the Expert tab at all.

Imma prob make some enemies here but I will say the t word nonetheless: TeamViewer

Free for private use and you can set up easy access if you add the remote PC to the trusted devices list so you only need to setup a secure password and configure both clients once.

It just fails. I did some searching and found that RD is causing the fail upon link. Someone mentioned Chrome RD but just wanted to know if there was anything better.

I've used the Microsoft one between computers and Chrome from my phone, the Chrome one is pretty simple and works fine. Right clicks aren't really possible but that's it

the local machine is a 3900X with an nividia 2080. (on idle)

All the others are mostly backup NAS so no impact in usability for me...

Skippy is an i7-5820K with a 1050TI

Unraid4: 2700X (only on half the threads)

Unraid2: i5-3470

Unraid3: G4900U

I still have 2 freenas machines but those are harder to set up & those I have in active use 🙂

There is something wrong with my computer. The GPU is running at default speeds so what could be wrong? It's a factory overclocked card, running at 1300/1750 with stock voltages and power limits at +25%. It's not overheating either as temps max out at about 60C. I upgraded to the latest AMD drivers last night and it was folding fine before I went to bed. I've been getting a lot of these incomplete errors it seems according to the WU that I get graded for. Sometimes I get 3 WU "completed" within 3 hours which isn't possible.

Been a slow day for WU's.

Mostly getting a no Wu response, or a short response, where a WU is requested and states the size, then gives the short response. :(

Yeah I've had no WU's since one finished some time overnight, log shows it's not getting anything from the servers it's contacting. Shut the PC down for now so I can figure out what's wrong with my CPU cooler mounting, may need to lap something flat.
