Meshify C worse cpu temps than mini itx case

Hello, i just moved my system from mini itx Fractal Design Nano S to atx Meshify C and my cpu (9900K) max temps  are about 7 C worse than in nano S. I did expect quite opposite... why is that ? In nano S i had two 140mm fractal fans in front as intake and in Meshify C i have 2x 140mm front intake and 1x top 140mm exhaust all of them be quiet shadow wings.  Cpu cooler is dark rock pro 4.   Meshify C is picture n.1 and Nano S is n.2  Thank you.

looks like the GPU can breathe more so it could be spitting more hot air at the CPU

 

try a rear mounted exhaust instead of a top, or have your tower cooler blow up instead of back

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I think moving the exhaust to the back would be more beneficial than having it in the top for airflow in your case.

 

Maybe your new fans are running at lower RPM, but I still don't think that'd affect temperatures that much.

Meshify C cant fit a 140mm fan in the rear. But the case did come with a X2 GP-12 which could be used instead.

Potential reasons:

 

- Different fans, therefore different airflow

- Pressure loss through ventilated top

- Cooler got dodgy mounted during the case transplantation

- GPU contributions to case ambient

This may be a major issue indeed.  If the OP tests it with a 120mm fan in the rear, I'd advise putting the closed top panel on the case instead of the magnetic mesh.

That's also a possibility, especially if you lifted/held the whole thing by the cooler or if you used the opportunity to apply fresh thermal paste.

The top exhaust might be doing more harm than good. Try using it as top intake near the front instead to provide the cooler with more fresh air.
