windows? you can use nssm - nonsuckingservicemanager to create a service that'd start fahclient.exe with needed configuration, then create taskscheduler events that 'd start or stop the service based on the time, daily, weekly, or wtv you want.

or yeah use send-comand pause, that should work too

weird, longest download I seem to have is like 30 seconds, for 14180 too.

but then again, I'm on the other side of the atlantic ocean..

this is quite fun though:

image.png.1601dc05cd9807a04a276ece15c46cb9.png

I've never seen a project just error with FAILED_1..

And that happened only once in a day and a half of folding, at least, that's when the log got purged as I restarted the client.

Is anyone aware of significant changes to the PPD you can expect between now and say, a year or two ago?  I'm getting predictions in excess of 600k on my Fury when I know for certain that in the past I would have expected 300 - 450k, and never as much as 500 or more.

You might have just hit a golden WU.

The PPD database shows about 400kPPD for an R9 Fury and 500kPPD for the Fury X

I tried registering on the german forum but it wants me to disable my proxy (which I didn't have when trying to register), so apparently russia's blocked from using it LOL

I suppose we overtake them in first 3-5 days of October. Especially since we should be getting more mentions from the LTT team about all this, I'd hope, from all main channels including twitter & stuff.

Yeah I know it used to get in that 400k range.  I'll keep an eye on it and see if this is typical or not

i have no idea what's going on with that server of theirs but i wish like hell it'd get sorted out. my 1080ti machine seems to get more 14180's than anything else, downloading them almost exclusively, so this is killing me

update: that WU took 10 minutes to download

I’ve seen some WUs take over 30 minutes. I haven’t been able to track it to a specific server but it’s been happening infrequently over the last few weeks

I wonder if this behavior can be stopped. GPU just "decided" to boost to higher freq on itself. When it never did that. image.png.c268ab1cfd4a26a709555a5f6ecbb996.png

that dot-filled line is the "boost" freq, while I set it to be the one with the cubes. I know it's just 13MHz but then it doesn't become stable :/

which obviously resulted in

07:18:24:WU00:FS00:0x21:Bad State detected... attempting to resume from last good checkpoint. Is your system overclocked?

I am unclear as to what it is asking for with the stats page on the contest signup, what page does it need a link too and how do i find it? thanks!

Can i enter with multiple PCs, i have a few idle spares aside from my main rig?

There is no such thing as too many fans, especially if you have good headphones.

The stats are from here

https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/search.php

search for your username you created for - it might not show until you start folding and do your first WU

for e.g mine is https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=830593

Yes you can use multiple PCs - make sure you use the same username and passkey

We are on tenterhooks to see what happens next. Both teams a really great folding campaign, i wish!
Maybe we can start the next campaign together. Then we could fight shoulder on shoulder against cancer in february 2020. What you mean? That will be great!

That sounds like it could be fun! Probably just a quick mini event like 2 weeks would be good, just with the regular folders not a huge event like this one. Should be a good motivator to keep folding.

@GOTSpectrum think you can arrange something with them?

Looks like I got hit with that download problem as well.  I woke up and was surprised my case wasn't as warm as I expected.  I saw in the logs my downloads stopped at about 37%.  Rebooting seemed to get get things going again.

A lot of people seem to have this issue. Me too. Two of my 2080TIs stopped folding over the night.

Honestly, i don't know.

I woulnd't be surprised if he doesn't know himself. To keep his systems updated and running is labor-intensive, I would guess...

I bet he built an ASIC for folding, but wouldn't tell anyone, so he can rake in all those juicy points for himself ?

(jk, I know ASIC's wouldn't really work for folding)

That sounds like it could be fun! Probably just a quick mini event like 2 weeks would be good, just with the regular folders not a huge event like this one. Should be a good motivator to keep folding.

@GOTSpectrum think you can arrange something with them?

Already working out how I'd do it ;)
