Just nice, I have problems with my cable connection. In the morning everything was working, after work internet connection is down and there is no signal for my TV either. For temporary fix I can use my phone to connect to the internet, that's only when I am home. Knowing how well these thing are fixed I am concerned that there will be more dropouts during the folding event.

Not good at all. can you not setup a mobile wifi router on a cheap data sim while they sort it out?

I really want a second gpu too.. only running a 2070 at the moment. Prices of 1070's are too high for me currently, so think ill have to stick the event with 1 card

 

 

 

 

 

Not sure if I should post this here or under Graphic cards, but as it relates to folding ill post it here. 

Is this normal behaviour for a card to have these dips continiously at the same intervals?

Thx, with the amount of coffee I consume I would like to be a coffee maker. That is if I cannot be a penguin, that would be my first choice. But then again I am not sure what function penguin would have in a kitchen.

Thats normal, thats the gaps when one step of the WU is completed. You can see logs on the fah client: "WU00:FS01:0x21:Completed 700000 out of 1000000 steps (70%)"

Yes, at periodic intervals the core will stop and save its state as a check point so it can recover from crashes or unexpected shutdowns without much work lost. You can configure the interval to be longer or shorter in the configuration.

Other: Added 3x Noctua NF-F12 intake, 2x Noctua NF-A8 exhaust, Inatek 5 port USB 3.0 expansion card with usb 3.0 front panel header

Details: 12GB ram, GTX 1080, USB card passed through to windows 10 VM. VM's OS drive is the SATA SSD. Rest of resources are for Plex, Duplicati, Spaghettidetective, Nextcloud, and game servers.

Some odd reason F&H was stuck downloading on my 1070ti .... had to restart the PC to get it to start again... lost a few hours of work while it was sitting around :(

I think I'm having the same issue, I seem to only be getting a single 1070ti's worth of points right now

I’ve had this same issue with both the 2060 and 1080. A quick restart fixes the problem, but I lose hours of work.
