Wheres Air Pressure Investigation Part 2?

Go to solution Solved by LinusTech,

We're also frequently late on sponsored stuff if that makes any difference to any of you. LG TV Window pt3 is months late, and so was the Samsung ultimate RAID thing. Stuff happens.

We do our best to put out the best video we can each within the constraints that we have.

We'll get to it :)

So I wonder how the 3 computers from the dust test epsidoe are doing, it hasn't been a full year yet but I wonder if they check to see if they are still running.

A few weeks ago on the WAN show they said the computers were still going so I guess just stick around.

I edit my posts a lot.

What's the ETA on those machines? we didnt have an update yet and I feel like a power outtage could've shut them off and you guys probably forgot to turn them back on?

Maybe a livestream would be nice? ;)

IIRC they're on back-up power and the ETA is still months away. I think.

Here is the episode:

It was released in December 2016, so it is still around 7 months before the Part 2 with the results.

I would say about the same yes... I wanted to say the high pressure one would be the cleanest but judging by the fact the high pressure one has many unfiltered intake, so the balance probably will be the one with less dusty...

I know when it was released, I'm just wondering if they still remember about it, and UPS aren't magical, they can run out of power pretty quickly, unless they have big ones, which Id be very surprised... So they can easily be down... and maybe they could give us a little pic of the dust accumulation ;)

I believe there was a power outages a while ago, but theyve already confirmed during a wan show IIRC that they are still running.

I'm fairly sure that the only major difference will be in the negative pressure one. Positive and neutral should be pretty much the same. I'm just judging by the dust buildup in my pc across different airflow configurations, with neutral and positive being the cleanest

Iv done my own experiments. Mine was better because it was done in less time by using 6000rpm server fans in exhaust on my old antec1200. Negative airflow collected dust around side panel edges and dust collection eventually blocked all gaps with a blanket. There was no dust on CPU or motherboard because front fans had filters.

using 6000rpm fans dropped temps by a few degrees if you are wondering. Bloody noisy though. I pulled them out of a broken server, brand was delta and they still sell them. They are 38mm thick and very heavy

With all the changes that are apparently happening at LTT studio I'm wondering if they forgot about the 1 Year benchmarked PC (video title: ONE YEAR BENCHMARK - PC Case Air Pressure Investigation Pt. 1)

Since there is about 4 month left before they make part 2.

I just hope they didn't forget about them or something like that.

They talked about it on the WAN show, whether they forgot about it and only remembered it was a thing cause they were moving some stuff around and saw it or not's another question, same with will they remember about it in 4 months time possibly, I wouldn't be surprised though if they had a notification or something set up on a phone, computer, calendar or similar to remind them of it encase they forget
