My 5900x was more quit running a game than it is YouTube.

To fix it I want into YouTube, Settings, Playback and performance and switched off inline playback.

Air cooled 3080 tis are hard to cool especially in cases with a traditional setups. Some like the FTW3 Ultra(400 watts stock) are extremely hard to cools.

The issue is that hot air gets trapped below the GPU and gets ingested by the GPU over and over again.
    This video shows the issue.

For my gaming PCs I now use cases that intake from the bottom and exhaust everywhere else.
For my traditional cases with PSUs below the GPU I add a 60mm fan below the GPU as an exhaust or an intake. Whatever works.

Yeah, I did note the relatively low power limit on the ZOTAC compared to many other 3080ti models, including the FE. Max power limit on the ZOTAC is reportedly 385W while the FE is at 400W. But I figured the power limit will only really matter when I want to OC the GPU. I don't think I'll be running it in manual OC at any time during use. I'll probably check its silicon potential once before returning it to its default setting.

If the 3080 has 12gbs vram you are good but it will not come close to reaching your goal.

I sold my Strix 3080 10gb because in some games I was already using 9.5gb vram dedicated, not allocated.

The is SOTTR on Ultra at 4k with RT on using a budget 3080 ti(EVGA XC3 Ultra).
The Strix did about the same frames as the XC3 but with 12gbs vram it was a keeper and the Strix was not. The XC3 is hotter as well.

The TUF is a 340 watt card so not a great performer since the Strix uses 370 watts stock and a FTW3 Ultra is a 380 watt card.
The ZOTAC is a 350 watt card. By contrast my FTW3 Ultra 3080 ti ia 400 watt card.

You do have one of the best cases for keeping GPUs cool so I don't think the extra heat will be an issue.

My VR rig is the i9 10900kf with the MSI 3090. When it used a 2080 ti it was fine. I mainly play a modded Fallout 4 so much harder to run than a vanilla VR game.
I think the 3070 ti is built not to last since to only has 8gbs vram. My GTX 1080 had that much. If it had 10 or 12 it would be a good product.
The Tower 100 is not a traditional case so a good choice.

Yeah, my father was using a laptop that had 2 CORES for 10 years and finally relented after it almost screwed up a certification exam he was taking. When we got him a new one, with I think 4 or 6 cores, 12 GB ram, and 512 GB ssd, last Christmas, he said there was a giant difference in performance.

jones177 got a reaction from Taintedmind in Does Resolution Affect Processor Temps?
    I tested my i9 10900k with a DH-D15 and it was a fail.
The reason is the i9 can't use TVB(thermal velocity boost) since the CPU needs to stay below 70c while gaming.
In most games TVB beats an all core 5.1ghz overclock. It does not beat it on all apps like Cinebench.
An EK 360mm AIO can keep the i9 10900k below 70c while gaming.

Not all 360mm AIO are cooler than the Noctua. My EVGA and Silverstone 360mm are about the same as DH-D15.

Also the FTW3 Ultra3080 it heats up a case a lot.
I had one with the i9 9900k for a while(now with the 5900x). It uses a DH-D15 and the 3080 ti heat soaked the case. That is why a XC3 Ultra 3080 ti is paired with the i9 9900k. At 350 watts VS 400 watts for the FTW3 the heat is manageable.

jones177 got a reaction from frozensun in GPU Power never reaching 100 %
My i7 6700k was great with a GTX 980 ti and later a GTX 1080 but with a GTX 1080 ti it did not get the most out of the GPU so I replaced it with an i7 8700k.
A GTX 2080S is a bit more powerful than a GTX 1080 ti so I am not surprised with 80% usage.

The down side with the upgrade was that getting 100% on the GPU only got 3 to 5 extra frames. On the plus side the 6 core was so much smoother that I never wanted to play on a 4 core ever again.

Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." and I don't have a compatible CPU for that 😬

Most People that don't create content are usually fine with it.
They don't feel the consequences and may benefit from it.

When I was a part of an indie group(2000 to 2005) that created content for games, one of the rules was not to call out anyone on forums(publicly) for piracy since it is bad press.
    That has not changed.

The 5800X3D is optimized for gaming and falls a little behind the regular 5800X in productivity tasks, from what I have seen in reviews so far.

For 4k gaming your limiting factor is really going to be the GPU; I'd expect all three chips to be neck and neck there.
