Does the WCCF article being shared by AMD (PR team) themselves somewhat validates the information?

    | Rembo | reacted to LAwLz in Activision Blizzard adds 312 new skins to Overwatch to pay for e-Sports by milking customers using Micro-transactions
Oh no, a developer adds cosmetic items to a game which you can either get from playing the game or pay for the ones you want! and not just that, if you go with the latter, 50% of the money goes towards esport teams instead of the developers!

What a terrible thing to do!

    /sarcasm

    Edit:
Actually, I think these are really good news. I think this is a great example of how to do lootboxes properly.
    1) Release the game at full price.
    2) Constantly release patches which adds new characters, tweak things, new maps etc, for free.
    3) Have cosmetic things which you can either get from lootboxes (which you earn by simply playing the game), or by buying specific skins with money.
    4) Give some of the money you earn from lootboxes (50% is a big chunk) to the esport teams to support them.

On top of that, you can get one free skin of your choice for free.

    I see this as a win-win-win situation.
Players gets a great game with gets additional content for free. On top of that you never feel like you lost because someone had spent more money than you. Blizzard wins by having a reliable stream of revenue to fund future content with. eSports wins by getting funded by the developers themselves. Good job Blizzard!

So... 'Hands In Pockets' + 'Squinting' = 'Going To Stab You'

Or even, considering this quote 'both Hands in pockets are a no FUK no because that’s a threat already'

'Hands In Pockets' = 'A Threat'.

    | Rembo | reacted to Commodus in Apple faces 26+ class-actions over the iPhone battery fiasco
Have to say this over and over again:

The issue is not that Apple slows phones down when their batteries suffer.  It's that the company hasn't told users when their battery had degraded enough for this to occur.

And it's hilarious how people cry "planned obsolescence!" when the alternative would have been periodic, sudden shutdowns.  Also: Android phones aren't immune to this just because vendors say they don't implement slowdowns.  Bigger batteries can mitigate the risk of shutdowns, but they don't eliminate the risk.  This is ultimately a problem with the nature of lithium-ion batteries.

PCPP claims 160W for motherboard, RAM and stoarage, and then lets say that custom loop again, thats abot 30W. like i said, i was being conservative. its like you havent understood we are talking about high end enthusiast systems, HEDT ones.
it is though, get that Vega 64 and an I7 7890XE and run that off the 550W, have fun when it either power throttles or just shuts down.
no its not, its a consumer CPU. its not the one for the avrage joe, but its not what i would call an enthusiast grade CPU. im talking HEDT, not the consumer platform.
that is exactly what you are doing though because we are not talking about the consumer platform, we are talking about the enthusiast one, HEDT

    | Rembo | reacted to Morgan MLGman in Windows 10 Scheduler bug causes poor RyZen performance
Well, considering that with SMT disabled you get up to 20% performance more in some games then it won't be lower than this value. So it's pretty much: any performance gains from having SMT disabled in specific games will be the lowest value that the scheduler fix should bring for the SMT-on setting.
