It's happenning, R9 380X listed online by 2 retailers !

MetroP

The R9 380X has been listed online by two retailers. One of which is a major Swedish online retailer with over 550K facebook fans.

The card is believed to show up sometime in late February early March. Featuring 4096 stream processors, a 4096 wide-I/O memory interface that will feed 4GB of stacked High Bandwidth memory (HBM) co-developed by AMD and SK Hynix.

AMD Radeon R9 380X has been listed online by two different etailers and a new Fiji XT graphics board has reportedly been certified. The two events have taken place very recently and they signal that the new flagship graphics card may not be too far off.
The first etailer in question is CDON.com and they list two R9 380X cards, one from Asus and one from MSI.  CDON.com is a large Swedish etailer and according to videocardz they’ve never actually listed unreleased graphics cards before. Another etailer prisguide.no has also listed R9 390X , R9 380X and R9 370X cards. The listings are most likely place holders for when the cards actually launch which shouldn’t be too long from now.

A new board design for the Fiji XT GPU powering the R9 380X has also been leaked. Code named C872 the board has reportedly completeed the certification process and should show up in four weeks time. You can find the original article here.

Damn that's a sexy card. I may just abandon my two reference 970's :D. It's kinda like the 770, 780, and Titan adopting the 690's design - whereas this gen will be adopting the 295X2's design.

It's about time AMD makes some good looking Reference cards, now let's just hope the reference cooler performs good.

That is a sexy looking reference card. Even if it wasn't reference it'd still be better looking than my strix 970

IMO it doesn't look that great. The only AMD reference card I like is the R9 270

Yes. Looks like early Q2 will be when most of the cards will be launched, but before then we might get a taste with the R9 380X.

Nah..still quite ugly. Compared to the Geforce 690+ reference design much more refined, but better than the previous card design a bit.

MUCH BETTER REFERENCE DESIGN AMD. Those last ones were AWFUL and looked cheap and budget. Glad they scrapped it and went with a r9 295 look.

AMD has finally realized that the damn reference card is what is gonna be benchmarked/tested and put in articles over and over and over again.

doubt you could pay for the power plant needed in your back yard to power the new cards by just selling the 970's

My r9 290 is overclocked. My 4770k is overclocked to 4.5ghz. I am on a 600 watt 50 dollar bronze corsair PSU. Want to mention the heat to? My card maxes at 75 C overclocked in a stock cooling 49 dollar Haf 912. That is when 4 gigs of VRAM are being used though....and amazingly it doesn't turn into a stutter fest. In a game like WoW at 3k? I am in the low 60'C lol.

I guess we should still be talking about Fermi's problems and hold it against Nvidia forever ROFl.

I know you're being sarcastic. But it's all relative, what if it's a 300W card that's faster than the 375W Titan Z ? which is a real possibility.

Throws wallet to the screen.

edit: THEN HOW WILL R9 390X BE???!!!!!!!111!!!one!!!!1

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Not a fan of the...fan
its big so should be quiet, especially as the card could now (possibly?) be a lowed nm process however theyre using an axial fan design to move air perpendicular to the flow (centrifugally), won't matter to most people but my ocd wont allow it, twin frozr V for me...
