So as many people I am subbed to quite a few channels and TOT happens to be one of them also on facebook.

 

One of the very worrying things I've seen as of late is that the owner Elric Phares seems to treat his subs and fans like absolute crap, Talks down to them, Swears at them non stop, There was even an incident a few months ago when a kid and I must iterate the word kid here asked him how to get youtube ads on his channel.

 

Now I don't know how he understood this as an insult to his channel but he said stuff to this kid that would of made a sailor blush, It was posted on OC3D for a while before the mods closed it.

 

Only a few minutes ago I saw him cussing out and then banning multiple people from his pages etc... because they didn't agree with his opinion about a particular subject which was kind of dumb to begin with.

 

Anyone else noticed that he's starting to sound like your 80 year old grouchy neighbor screaming at kids to get off the lawn ?

Well with Tiny Tom Logan I posted on one of his Facebook posts correcting him about something with proof that I was right and while he didn't swear at me or ban me he did however remove the comment and refuse to acknowledge it.

I watch Barnacules, Linus, and TotalBiscuit, those are the only ones who matter to me.

 

And if you think TOT is bad, check out Trubritar reviews, ugh, god aweful and boring. Not to mention his speech is barely understandable (And I can understand almost anything said on stuff like mock the week or doctor who...at least the stuff that isn't made up timey wimey crap)

I've never been a fan of his videos. They're over done. He doesn't really know what he's talking about sometimes, and as a reviewer, that bothers me.

It seems like he's trying to cater to the "metal head, nerd" niche.

Yeah I use to be on OC3D but after TTL's behavior towards a lot of people I decided to leave, It must be something about being a hardware reviewer in the rules it says "Must act like a total pri** to all subscribers".

Elric reminds me of someone (an older gentlemen in his 40's (no offense to anyone who's in their 40's, this isn't a generalization) I know personally who thinks he's super hip and in style with today. He tries too hard to be cool, using words that I don't think he even understands.

 

He'll try to jump in conversations about things that he has no idea about, like PC's for example: throwing out every term he knows but has no idea what they mean.

 

This guy even gets super mad at me when I question things he does, like why he equalizes his music to death. I'm like "ooooooooooookay mate".

As much as I like his channel and he does put out a lot of decent videos that I enjoy to watch, I cant help but agree with you. 

 

The amount of times I have seen in the comments below his videos of him insulting another, usually just for expressing their opinion in a strong way really annoys me. I get the feeling that he cant take criticism, or other people's opinions and when they are voiced, he just goes loopy. I find him to be rather egotistical and it is either his way or no way. Unless you're praising him on his video, or giving a structured response, if he sees anything negative in those comments, there's most likely going to be hell on. 

What do they know of England, who only England know?

At one point JayzTwoCents pissed me off too but he wasn't really trying to be rude.

 

I never enjoyed any ToT videos though, I never liked his "man" and he wasn't a nice guy anyway.

I would, just for the sake of doing so. The majority of the people in his comments are so blind to see that someone is only voicing their opinion and will jump onto the back of whatever Elric is saying.

As someone in the customer support service it worrys me that someone who represents hardware reviews acts this way to people, Thankfully we have people like Linus, Luke, Barnacules and TotalBiscuit :)

Out of all the tech youtubers, he doesn't really seem to fit in anywhere. I'm not saying he's a poser, but I can't say I've ever learned anything watching his videos. He reminds me of the rich kid in school that has all the expensive toys, but only uses them as a prop to get attention. He's not an idiot or anything, but his videos are all hype and little substance.
