Coolest looking game console

Syntaxvgm

What is your favorite game console visually? I mean the physical console itself.

I was moving around all of my consoles today, I have way to fucking many, and I had a thought-

I have like 6 ps3s and 4 360s, but for some stupid reason I got rid of my xbox one s. I'm stuck with the ugly as fucking sin xbox one.

What is your favorite game console look?

Mine would have to be the fat ps2.

All those unnecessary lines make me hard for some reason.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Stationary only, or are portables allowed? What about special editions?

For me, it's actually the Zotac Steambox (does that count as a console? Are Steam machines consoles or Linux PCs?). Most consoles look a bit tacky to me, but this one looks nice.

Spoiler

And a certain retro console, that one also looks nice.

That's a toss up between the fat boy PS3, fat boy PS2, Nvidia Shield TV, and Nintendo 64.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

My favorite is probably the 360 Elite Halo 3 Edition followed by the 360 S Halo 4 Edition. Third place is a tie between the plain 360 Elite and the 360 Slim in matte (though the Elite honestly edges it out).

Honorary mentions go to the PS2 SCPH-70001/90001 and the original Xbone as well as XB1X.

Matte 360 Slim is sexy, I don't know why they didn't do that for the 250GB model as well as the 4GB from the get-go.

I'm partial to the Sega Genesis Model 1. I never had one though; I was of the SNES religion that gen. If I ever buy a nice CRT PVM this bitch will be the first console I buy for it (and Saturn would be second just for NiGHTS Into Dreams).

Yeah, that would have been the best one I've had.

Though Owning a Genesis was kinda impossible -> Mega Drive FTW!

I really like the Original PS4, the Slim PS3, either PS2, either PlayStation, the PS TV, Super Famicom/PAL SNES, Panasonic Q, and both front loader and top loader NES.

If I had to pick just one, I would say the Slim PS3. I just love the clean look of it but still with the quirky curved top and recessed disc slot. Can't set shit on top of it, but it's cool looking.

Yeah man, I love the Atari Jaguar too!

untitled-1.jpg?w=584

But the Dreamcast I have to agree with, such a functional design and still very pretty.

Also, gotta appreciate the Japanese/European SNES when compared to the American design. Especially the brightly colored buttons on the controller.
