Higher clocks more headroom.

It really depends on the purpose.

Are you going for extreme overclocking? Then maybe...

I'll tell you: that's a very nice speed! ;):)

And you obtain that OC with the H100i?

What about additional fans in your Cougar Panzer S case?

My gpu keeps downclocking when it reaches its first thresh hold that first thresh hold is 38c I'm running two Titan Xp collectors edition

So that is why I'm asking you guys if a water chiller working  along 3 ek 360 radiators help me get the 30c I'm trying to achieve ?

Mainly on gpus

The Titan XP starts to lower its clock speed at 83 degrees Celsius, just like the rest of the Pascal lineup. So I’m not sure what you mean with the 38 degrees though.

Not my it's start at 2062 mhz and when it gets to 38c it downclocks to 2050mhz what is the deal with that ?

Some of the people on here have told me that it has to do with pascal and gpu 3.0

@Game_on

So i've been researching and planning a chiller build for years. Talking to people who have done it, to manufactuers,  subzero options and the like.

Heres that take.

A chiller is an expensive option, it does work so long as you spec a powerfull enough chiller for your system load. BUT it doesnt take much more to go subzero, or at the very least sub ambient. Another 'but', you have to consider condensation.

So the question you need to ask yourself, is it worth the power bill, and the cost of the chiller , to maintain liquid temps above the dew point for you environment, and will that make any significant difference to the temps you get now.

If you want to go sub ambient (or subzero), u HAVE to prep your system for condensation, or remove condensation from the equation via a chillbox or airtight vacume/dry air case.

To get load temps at 30c, ur going to need liquid temps below ambient and likely below your dew point, Just a heads up.

My Ambien temps are 24c to 25c because I keep a stand up ac unit running right next to me all the time do you think that 30c would be hard to achieve with my Ambien temps ?

With a Alphacool Eiszeit 2000 Chiller

This chiller is good for 1500 watts of desapaition my pc out puts around  1050 watts

Will a water chiller that can handle 1,500 watts get my i9-7980xe overclocked to 4.5 ghz at 1.157 volts with a vrm block and two Titan Xp collectors edition to 30c this is the chiller just in case you want to know Alphacool Eiszeit 2000 Chiller

Well it's rated at 1500W of cooling so I wouldn't expect it to have a bad chance at it. Your limiting factor is going to be the rate at which the heat can transfer from the GPU die over the the waterblock for the card. Mind you is there a reason why you want to do so, the CPU and GPU won't have any problems even with good heatsinks or AIO's.

Theres honestly no way to estimate the end temperature. You'll just have to try it and see what it ends out to be.

The reason is that I'm trying to achieve this for a while now because I want to stop my gpu from down clocking period

At the moment this chiller is my last try

It shouldn't down clock as long as temps are low enough, usually that is around 70-80C and you can configure it higher if needed.

Min water temp seems to be 20c, so getting 30 is going to be very hard with the losses in die to waterblock contact.

Its not normal throttling, it will slow down a bit with every temp increase past arount 30c, by about 5-10mhz. Not worth it really, and you can just oc it more if you want, but cooler = faster.

Marginal amount really as long as it's still boosting up past the set factory values and most will do so by a handsome amount then it's within perfect operation.
