Ah, fair enough. 14 is only legal here, if both are. If he was 21 at the time, then no go. I only saw 16 in the OP.

However at 16 you're only allowed to drive to school or work with a permit, depending on laws only 2 people in the car including the driver.

Pretty good chance she'll be found innocent, it's his fault too for falling for bait he didn't even take a minute to think about how old the girl might be.  But yeah he's out of a successful career and fcked over for a long time.

Now the major problem that's been reported is that, yes this does break laws but which laws exactly, According to Heavy the laws that are violated is:

The age of consent in Atlanta (where the girl is from) is 16 years old. However, the AOC in California is 18 years old. According to federal law, “knowingly using a telecommunications device to make, create, solicit, or initiate transmission of any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, knowing that the recipient of the communication is under 18 years of age, to harass any person.”

Federal law also says, “Using the mail or any facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce to entice or coerce someone younger than 18 years of age to engage in sexual activity is a crime punishable by fine and not less than 10 years imprisonment or life.”

 

 

10 years minimum punishment, assuming the local police are investigating (I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't) A new twitter account by the name of TracerLU was created and she posted all the evidence she provided to Heavy, excluding any nudes, etc.

Everything else up until this point I have actually been OK with, with the "handjob" comment being inappropriate but heavily depending on the context (which we do not have). Specifically asking for images though, assuming that evidence is real, is very bad.

 

Edit: Also, I think this is one of those cases where the law is dumb. It would have been perfectly legal for them (in the case of the 16 year old) to meet up and have sex, but since they were sending pictures to each other it is all of a sudden a crime with a 10 year sentence minimum, in addition to things like being a registered sex offender.

Sexual misconduct doesn't mean much. It's basically just a catch-all term for anything that might seem sexually inappropriate, including things that aren't even illegal.

Yeah, in the OP are more pictures if you care to dive, just freaks me out that he actually bought her plane tickets to fly her out to him, Sure, nerds are genuinely kind, but this goes bit too far to buy someone tickets to meet you, especially after they said they're 16 (Dunno if that's within the concent ages?)
