Is it possible to have the LTT forum support Markdown + preview mode, similar with reddit and Discourse?

No, the forum software does not support it.

 

The next major version of the forum software does support typing in markdown (but it's immediately converted to rich formatting in the editor, slack style, rather than being a full markdown editor), but that is over a year away at best.
