I'll post mine as soon as i get home.

I have still working laptop from 2000 Dell c600 800 MHZ/1 GHZ (configurable from bios)+ 256 MB RAM + 40 GB HDD (i upgraded it) + 8 MB GPU + Floppy reader + CDROM (lost it need to find it) :D

it works great.

I also have working motherboard + CPU (which sits in a slot like RAM does nowdays it has 750 MHZ) + 128 MB RAM (made of 3 sticks 64 + 32 + 32)

Computer users fall into two groups:
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.

Interesting!  I've seen the AMD versions of the DX4100, but never a cyrix.  it has barely any markings on it.   Are you using active or passive cooling on it?

Passive cooling only  Yeah it was just that odd I had to keep it around. Nice little pin location indicator on the heat sink

IBM 5160 XT that i picked up, with an Amdek RGB Monitor.   4.77mhz 8088 CPU.

From left to right,

CGA graphics card (will display 4 colors at the same time! and not just any 4 colors, they had to be from a handful of palettes)

Memory expansion card (added 256kb of RAM!)

Floppy/IO controller, adds 1 serial and 1 parallel port as well as controls the 360kb 5.25" floppy drive

MFM hard drive controller, which controls a single 20mb MFM hard drive (or was it 10MB i forgot)

The first red flag should have been a CPU faster than ~500MHz. The second should have been the amount (and type) of RAM. :P

I believe this is the oldest part I have laying around, using it to test my diy vertical gpu bracket. Radeon HD5770 1gb, decent card in its day and still works well

I recently rearranged my old PCs. Now it isn't such a mess.

hYeqea7.jpg

Here's a closer look of the PCs.

xcnc7A6.jpg

Let's start from the right:

*The black IBM ThinkCentre is mising the motherboard and HDD. It used to have a Pentium 4 with HT, I think it was 3GHz.

*The white eMachines I will cover a bit later.

*On the left is the box from my main PC's case and inside of it is the old case.

*The blue box on the top has 1 or 2 motherboards. I know there's a maybe dead no-name motherboard with Intel Celeron 2.4GHz in that box. There might also be an Asus A7V8X-X motherboard with a Athlon XP 1800+.

*The silver case with the white floppy and the black DVD drive is next.

It has:

Motherboard: Asus A7V8X-X

CPU: AMD Sempron 3000+ 2.0GHz

CPU Cooler: Titan

RAM: 1.75GB DDR 400MHz (1GB + 512MB + 256MB)

GPU: Asus nVidia GeForce FX5700LE 256MB AGP 8x

HDDs: 2 x Western Digital 40GB 7200rpm IDE

PSU: Codegen 300XA 300W

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3

dss6Rcq.jpg

*So the PC on top of the previous two is an HP Compaq something (can't remember the exact model).

It has:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3GHz with HT

RAM: 512MB DDR1

GPU: Intel something 96MB

HDD: Western Digital 40GB IDE

OS: Windows XP but it needs a reinstall

PTcaMod.jpg

*There's a Dell Latitude D600 laptop on top of the HP, but I'll cover my old laptops in another post.

And No, I didn't forget about the eMachines. It's an eMachines eTower 466i and it's the first PC my family had and the first I used.

rFpSUeO.jpg3nx5qcP.jpg

I can only guess when it was made, but I think it's from somewhere in 1999 and my parents bought it second hand in the early 2000s. They got it with the same monitor and speakers I'm using with it now. Sadly my parents threw out the keyboard and mouse years ago. The current mouse I'm using is IBM with a thrackball and only right and left mouse buttons, no scrollwheel. It seems old. Here's the specs:

CPU: Intel Celeron 466MHz

RAM: 512MB PC133 (2x256MB)

GPU: Gainward nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB PCI

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 40GB IDE 7200rpm

OS: Dual-booting Windows 98SE and Windows XP Pro SP3

Monitor: IBM P50 15" 1024x768 (made in January 1996)

Speakers: Auditek (the right one is almost dead, but they're fine for what I use them)

Didn't have time to open the PC and take a picture, but I have a few pictures of it working.

Starting up

hhUqmRh.jpg

Booting Windows 98SE

NvebGtL.jpg

Windows 98SE running

xq7gcQh.jpg

Windows XP running (I have RocketDock for the dock in the top)

And here is it playing a movie

When I have time I'll take some pictures of my old laptops and will make a post about them. Also a question: Do you consider Athlon 64 x2 old? If so, I'll post some pictures of my secondary PC which has one.

I have a Windows 98 PC I just bought off of a friend that got it from a tag sale. Came with a keyboard and mouse for the exact computer too! $10 all together. I have some old games for Windows 98 too. (Shown below) has a Celeron processor at an unknown GHz. I didn't bother to check. I did check that it has a weird number of ram, 193MB. I upgraded that to 256MB and I'm planning on getting it a 9800 Pro and a better CPU. I have a Celeron at 333MHz and a Pentium 3. Didn't take a picture of it but I have a stick of DDR2 2GB along with a Radeon Hd 3450 from an optiplex. That stuff ins't very old but its a few years. Two Pentium 4's one at 3.4GHz and the other at 3.06GHz. I Honestly don't know where the Pentium 4's came from. I just found them around my room and I never had bought any. Lol, Anyway, I also have a Dell Dimension 2400 with a Celeron at 2.4GHz and 2GB of ddr1 ram. Another computer that I have is a gutted out AMD computer. Used to be Windows XP but I only found that out. I bought it from someone for $20 and there is a hole in the case and dents everywhere. Unknown motherboard and no ram right now along with no CPU but I will eventually get that fixed. The person who I bought it from got it from another person and I have no idea they gutted it out and put Windows 98 on it. One of the IDE headers on the board is bad. The entire thing is a wreck but eventually I'll try to sell it and get atleast $35 for it but I'm just hoping. I also have an open air Dell Optiplex 780 that I put on a piece of wood and I am putting a GTX 560 ti in and a 500W PSU because those things are power hungry. All of the pictures are in the link below because it is far above the limit of MB for the attachments.

I have a set of 8800GTs that I actually use every day. I pulled them out of a pair of old Dell prebuilts (identical) and I use them to test systems that I get. I don't have any spare video cards around other than them so they go into my test bench occasionally when the 1060 3GB that's usually in there is used for something else.

We have loads of old P4 stuff in our basement. We got rid of our P2 and P3 crap a couple years ago.

Some retro documentation here, found recently.

Unfortunately not got any hardware from the system it refers to, and I'd even forgotten about Apricot existing, its dated 1989.

The system seems quite advance for the time, there's a section in the Owner's Handbook about the model which had an exchangeable hard drive.

pffft.   one does not claim retro and post something with a new fangled PCI connector!  ;)

here's a Gravis Ultrasound Max i recently picked up, probably older than most people on this forum!

I'm not an expert! In fact I'm usually just 1 google search ahead of you.
