If I only had the money...as it is I need to purchase a cooler that's better than stock for my i7, and then get a sound card+another 1TB/2TB HDD before I get any more retro stuff.

No. It's 8PENXP R2.0 : LINK and yes it does have DPS2 module installed 
It OCs good, however I didn't tested it thoroughly yet (was preoccupied testing AGP stuff and then installing OS on NVMe drive with my other PGA 478 board ) :

(^and yes, I know that is a 64-bit PGA 478 CPU , here's valid : https://valid.x86.fr/2g58sg)

However, back to topic from the begining, I got few examples on my first board as well :
1) Pentium 4 1,6GHz (ie. Willamette 180nm)

Example 2 : Pentium Extreme Edition 3,2GHz (130nm)
I didn't pushed P4EE quite as far as I could, because I want it to last a few years.

With Gallatin and 64-bit PGA 478 in my collection (and I do own LGA 775 Gallatin as well ), I bet it's less than 3 seconds now

The difference between a 128bit BUS and 64bit BUS. Ft: FX5500 256MB, Geforce 6200A 512MB (it really has that much vRAM), Asus PCX5750 256MB/Geforce FX5700 "Ultra"

My very first system from 2008 (?):

Motherboard: MSI M2N-SLI;

CPU: AMD Athlon Dual Core;

RAM: OCZ 2 x 2GB.

As for the GPU itself, it's an ASUS GTS 250. That I used 10 years up until a week ago when I finally got a new card (MSI 1050 for $110). So yes, 10 years later and it still works! Except for the fan itself, that thing died years ago. Had a different cooler for it from Deep Cool.

Ah man the M2N-SLI. I had the Deluxe variant and it just up and died out of the blue one day when I was going to dick around in XP for a bit so I've been without an AMD board for a good year at this point.

Really? I feel like that has more in common with a 1080... then again, everything since the 280 looks the same to me.

Some of em just have old thermal paste on em, but some had stickers on them that someone put thermal paste right on top of without removing.

 

They come off easy now that they’ve been cooked.
