This thread makes me kek really really hard.

This is my amiga 2000.  The silver dell underneath actually acts as a hard drive of sorts connecting over a null modem connection from serial to parallel.  Neat tech.

Ohhh, I'm jealous. Always wanted a 2000, or a 3000... or a 4000 :x

Have a A600, not my original, stupid enough to sell it in the -90:s. But the current needs a recap, have everything at home, just need to do it.

Why, it's a great little Amiga, love the small form factor.

Because by far the 600 was the worst amiga ever built.

If you look up the history of the 600 it was supposed to be the 300, then the company heads changed around and the new owners decided to stuff in some stuff that the 1200 had so it was a horrible CPU and chipset with good ram and sound.  Its weird.  If it was easier to mod then it'd be cool.

Everything in this machine is either running good as new, overclocking good as new or both:

Its also kind of annoying that I can't upload bitmap as images. 6MB 1080p image courtesy of my 16MB Riva TNT2 Vanta, instead of 94KB jpeg.

Edit: Important note, the Vanta is getting as hot at 155MHz as it did at stock with any of my other motherboards+PSU (excluding my VP6), and the Yamaha XG audio tells soundcards of the time to get rekt with its DOS and Windows sound quality (its far superior to the crap used in my now donated iPod nano 7).

This is one of many old computers I do have. Compaq 5000 series that I started to do some mods to. I always wondered why the front of the thing was never lit up. Right now it has white LEDs in there. I will be changing them out for 5MM clear blue ones. I cut out the CD storage in the front so I could put in a 80MM blue LED fan. Next to it is a Compaq 5345 That is going to get a upgrade in board and LEDs. I have already upgraded the fans and changed out the front audio and USB ports.

What we have here is a cheap-o amp from Wal-mart to test my proof of concept of a car stereo hooked up to my computer. The PSU is about an 8 year old never used Thermaltake 400 watt PSU with a single 12V rail. The subs are a set of pre-boxed Boston G2 10" "about" 220 watts @2ohms. Unconfirmed as I did not rip them out of the box to confirm their wattage or their wiring config. My multi-meter said the whole boxed setup was 2 ohms so I said YOLO and hooked it all up. The orange wire from the amp to the subs are indeed house-grade 12-gauge wire with the unwrapped/exposed middle wire cut back. There are 3 yellow and 3 black wires from the PSU to the amp and they do not get hot after an hour of pounding. Over all I'm real happy with the results. Looking to put this somewhere in my life besides my home computer that I can use it regularly for a little extra bump, and would like to move to a single 12" with a 500 watt amp and a EVGA 750 watt PSU. Currently looking at a Rockford Fosgate 12" DVC 400RMS, and JBL 500 watt amp. But that's just a metric for price point and power. Not fussy about brands. Not looking to win any contests, just want my house to shake when I throw grenades lol is that too much to ask??

Currently don't have any pictures of these things and they're all in storage currently, but I have an old 486-based Tandy computer I plan on upgrading in the future with this Sound Blaster AWE64 I have and turning it into a retro gaming rig for DOS and Windows 3.11. In addition, I'm currently working on a Windows 98SE gaming rig (Pentium II MMX @ 300mhz, GeForce 4 MX420 64MB AGP, 128MB RAM) and a gaming laptop (Pentium M @ 1.4ghz, ATI Radeon 9000 32MB, 1GB RAM), but both need new HDDs because they both completely failed. I also have a couple of PowerMac G4s, an IBM Model M keyboard, and some other retro tech.

I can't believe that was able to uncover these pictures.

This is my first build for myself back in 2005. I was 16 at the time and my dad helped me out.

This rig cost $1800 total!

I even have my old signature back during the AMD Support Forum days!

Lol I cant even use the GTS 250. The driver is too old and DirectX support is so old I havent been able to start even a single game in my Steam Library. So now it sits around, collecting dust. It my go in my Girlfiends PC as she does not like video games at all and only uses it for watching YouTube and Netflix, so I could use it for enhanced video playback, maybe...

I have an Atari 2600. I might have been born into the age of the iPhone but I grew up typing Basic. I have those old magazines that would have the source code for games that you would have to type in too. I would spend hours doing it. If I wanted to have the computer do something I would have to write a bit of code. If only every generation Z kid grew up like me . . . we would need a lot less tech support and perhaps a phone might last more than a month before it gets broken.

Im actually running a GTX 670 in my build right now and am communicating with a craigslist seller about a GTX 970 for $160, so hopefully that works out. My current build is in my signature.
