Picture 1: 270 Intel processors from 2005-2006 I bought for a project, Mostly core 2 duos, but there were two quad core Xeons (E5440 and E5430).

Picture 2: An i486 DX my sister found. A Pentium 3 from a friend, a Pentium 4 from a broken computer at the school, and the two Xeons mentioned earlier.

Picture 3: An EVGA GTX750Ti I got for free off of a friend after his disastrous build of 2014. It was completely taken apart, I'm ordering new fans. I don't know if it even works, but I'm trying to restore it.

Picture 4/5: An ATi Rage 128 from a friend's old computer. I don't know much about it.

Picture 6: A 512 MB stick of DDR RAM pron the Pentium 4 computer.

Picture 7: 128MB RAM from the ATi Rage 128 computer.

Picture 7: Two Pentium 2s, One on top from the ATi 128 computer, and one from a computer given to be by a friend.

I'm genuinely curious as to why you have THAT many 775-era CPUs.

I'm using them as pixels in a pixel art project. Then attempting to put it on my wall. They're going to be embedded into wood, and it's going to be over 60lbs.

I got this idea at 1am on a Monday....

Powerbook 180c from 1993

One of the early colour laptops.

A ball for a mouse and only like 16 colours or something silly.

Still working with original parts!

Original hard drive and everything.

I restored the thing myself.

Literally dropping it was part of what fixed it.

Linus would be proud.

that PSU isn't old, it has 6pin expansion slot connectors and sata power. it would be old if it was a 250W PSU with a 20pin mobo, no cpu, no expansion, and only molex/floppy molex

I can't see anything on the PSU about the power, Ze Interwebs, says its 250W, not less.

but still, the connectors show that isn't that old.

New PSUs can also be 250w or less, typically for itx or low power builds.

Anyone know how to remove 20 year old thermal adhesive? My Riva TNT2 and TNT both have thermal issues because of it.

The trick for my Cyrix chip was just loooots of isopropyl alcohol dribbled onto the chip and rubbing it off.

I've found the alcohol to be pretty useless with some older silicone-y stuff, patient elbow grease and maybe some goo gone will usually get it done though.

Is it that horrible yellow/white stuff that's super hard?

If so, you can use a sharp plastic scraper and citra-solv or 93% or greater isopropyl on it, just let it sit with the solvent of your choice on it for a but and then go at it with the scraper, don't be afraid to use a bit of force.
