Starting January 1st, 2021, we will be handing out awards based on new higher folding badge thresholds. These new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.    F@H Badge Thresholds In order to be rewarded with the Folding @ Home badge, please

Similar goal here, coming in at rank 146 for the folding month definitely motivates me to get a GPU for my Unraid server till the next event. This time i mostly did CPU folding on various devices and only started my gaming rig to fold on a GPU after work or on the weekends.

I did. I'd say the main thing for me was that it simplified the remote folding experience. Cleaner UI, and finally being able to use LARs folding page with remote stuff. Beyond that, je ne sais pas.

It was awesome to fold with this amazing team in Folding Month VI. Despite having 3 accidental shutdowns, I was able to actively fold all 35 days. I was able to fold 145 WU and earn 3,969,474 pts, which landed me at 289 place.

The daily updates from @GOTSpectrum were very entertaining. Big thanks to everyone who runs this event!
Looking forward to next time! I will definitely have better hardware setup for folding.

My understanding of it is to get the control to the web like they have now but with all of the advanced features the standalone program has.  I read that the core folding algorithms have not changed, it just interfaces with the web better.  

 

This would allow them to have a single interface instead of a windows, Linux and so on and not run into the oh no one loads python 2 libraries anymore, now we have to update it.   Though someone did and runs with python 3 just like the python 2 one does.

 

For the record I am not running V8, didn't seem to be an advantage since I am running on Linux with a python 3 control program.  I also use a single control program for 2 machines and until the web interface can do that on one page I will hold off.

got the power bill finale.

it was a + 50 $ cost for me to fold for event.

Thankful due to how cold it has been here.

the bill was lower and also i did not need to but ac on.

i wont be doing the b day event.

due to a pest control bill i expect by end of week.
