Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

If you are not living in Germany, top speed doesn't matter at all.If you don't have high speed road, then all that matters is comfort and reliability.I'd say get WRX because it's trusty Japan.

I guess that I'm the owner of my own car as of right now.

$6,000 for a E46 BMW 320i that has only gone 44k miles.

Congrats man^^

I think Toyota have hit the nail on the head this time.

More like hit the nail on the foot, look at that face.

@AlexStriz 450 Euro? Aren't you in 'Murica?

I am. But I go to Slovakia every summer for a few months to visit my grandparents and friends. Decided to buy a car because it would make it really convenient for me to drive around, as my grandparents only have one car. Also I might live there for a bit after I finish school in a year, so I'll have that waiting there for me too..

OK, i kinda really want a camry now. Sure, they don't look cool and they don't go fast either, but they are what made Toyota a big brand here in America, especially the 4th gen Camry, and plus the early models were super reliable. Plus, used ones on craigslist are cheap and so are parts since they're so common

I would love to drive a new one, but money. If anything, i'll just buy a 2000 Camry XLE on craigslist.

Insurance on a MS6 as a young person would be insane too. I was looking at Corolla 5 speeds for a while in the mid 2000 year range. The Toyota tax isn't too harsh on them.

what is enticing about it though? I mean the new one's look nice. but the old ones are very... grandma-ish. Especially with the worn out suspension it'll likely come with...

I have a friend who's mom has a 1998 camry. The thing floats like crazy. Literally like one of those old Cadillac's everyones grandma/pa used to own.

my corolla is still stiffer with its worn struts. But I cant wait to replace those next weekend hehe

let me just put this out there:

Avoid 8th gen corolla's like they are the plague if you don't want to deal with an oil burner. In 2003 they added 4 more oil return drain holes to each piston in the 1ZZ that fixed the oil consumption issue. Unless of course you want to mod it and put a 2ZZ or rebuild the 1ZZ and turbo/supercharge it or something lol

I have to add some oil every week in mine. Not fun.
