Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Beauty in the eye and all that, but the body kit (factory or not) and hard top really ruin the looks, but then again the Miata hasn't been good looking in a long long time.

Eunos.jpg

That one is good looking, the others...well their not hard core racers, they are sunday sunny runabouts, and trying to make them anything else upsets both the looks, and handling (and yes, I've driven a supercharged one, as well as a V8 conversion...a mustang engine IIRC)

To each their own of course but it's like trying to improve on the MGB...it is far too easy to screw up, and should be left alone as is.

Speaking of left alone...

My local mechs have one of the *very* few factory twin turbo'd DMC-12s in existence.

It's a shame the owner screwed it up...after all these years, the car still has a presence about it.

The ND and NA/NB/NC hardtops aren’t the same is what I mean. The ND one is specific to racing applications and doesn’t have seals or anything for street use

I know, I'm just continuing our tradition of posting NB hardtops whenever the topic comes up!

But really you could probably make the MX5 Cup top work on a later car if you can find the mounting points but I havent found anyone whose done it, probably because of cost.

I disagree, the road is clearly curved and the car is going around it. Is it the fastest way possible, nope; but it is going around it.

I like it, but the front bumper looks like the cheap shit duraflex sells. Ask me how I know that, it was a waste of 400 bucks. :/

The ACR was reportedly a very capable car.

I still think that the bulk of viper buyers are far more interested in burnouts and donuts than lap times, but maybe I'm wrong.

I think I agree.  ACR was very expensive too IIRC.

Still had the very wasteful motor though that @MEC-777 loves so much lol

G-Power Hurricane RR <3

I'd take one without the body kit (front bumper looks like an E55 AMG and the rear looks like an E39 ffs) and the wheels. xD

Got the moped out today, took me 45min or so of pushing it uphill on the snow/ice and shoveling said snow/ice blend xD time to put it up on blocket i guess and get some money for my A2 lisence, took it for a shakedown and its pretty much perfect beyond the clutch not wanting to disengage fully right when i started it. probably has to do with that it hasent been moved in several months and it was only 5C or so outside, was fine once i got it moving :)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

you don't even need a G-Power to have a very nice BMW. I really really really like both the looks and sound of the E92. That high-revving V8 is a lovely thing.
