Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Let me put it this way: sc14 + sc12 pulley + 4agze - factory supercharger = GOOD

Honestly, do a turbo swap and swap the intake manifold for one from the NA 4age. We have done this and been down this road. The SC is the less-reliable, less powerful route.

Max power you can expect from a pulley kit, standalone EMS (megasquirt) and a water to air intercooler on the factory SC is about 170-ish whp. I know because that's all we could get out of ours with that exact setup at 11-12psi.

After the turbo swap (TD0413T), 4age NA intake mani (T-VIS delete), same water to air intercooler and EMS + tune, we never dyno'd it but I can tell you it absolutely made more power at even just 8psi vs the SC at 11-12psi. At 13psi with the turbo, it was an animal. Full boost by 2500rpm and held it solid all the way to the raised limiter at 7500rpm.

With the 4agze, turbo is the way to go. ;)

NO!

I WANT SUPERCHARGER!!!

/s

The reason im sticking with sc is that the 4age never came with a turbo and therefore it would be a struggle to get it road legal.

Ps: im not talking about a pulley kit, im talking about using a different supercharger wich is going to produce between 12 and 14psi of boost depending on what pulley i use, im going to need some cooling tir the sc if i aim for 14psi.

It has 3 differentials.  And the center one is manually lockable.  I assume The center diff also has the transfer case. The diffs are open, so it's not a perfect 50/50 split. But still full time with a transfer case. This not true for the really old models though.

@terrytek I drove a Landrover Defender hundreds of kilometres on asphalt and didn't grenade anything. And it's a continuous 4wd system. Since you asked if one exists.

Ah yeah, if it has differentials you can definitely use it on pavement.

5 hours ago, terrytek said:

well i mean it's a serious offroader, and since it's been around basically forever without changing a lot of stuff, i doubt they had lockable/unlockable 4wd systems back in the 50s.

Lockable differentials have existed for a very long time actually.

On to bigger and better things i guess.

I'm signed up to an unemployment fund through my union so i'm not in any trouble economically.

Kind of stings to not have somewhere to go tomorrow though. (Apart from the public employment service office)

Anyone else super excited for the Snow expansion for Horizon 3? I can't wait to get ahold of that and do some snow photography with some Subarus :x

Only car that would make the game better is a BB6 (Hasn't been in Forza since Forza 4?) I know the BB2 was in Forza 6, but no Preludes in Horizon 3 sadly.
