Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

It's nice having 4 doors. Also if you get a higher trim you have the option for 300HP+

hey guys im not really into cars built after 1975ish (the exception being supercars) but i need a daily driver that is safer than the one im actually using. can you guys suggest a good car under 30k and performs well i was thinking an abarth. but i want something with a little more power. it can be used but has to have modern safety features (i don't care for a lot of Japanese cars no offence)

I know you said you're not a fan of Japanese cars, but have you considered the Scion FR-S?

The Scion is, tecnnically, an American car :P (but, yes, it is built in Japan)

Considering that you want something sporty and two door. I am gonna be THAT guy and say the new Miata. I know you don't care for the Japanese cars, but look at that beauty. :D

I prefer the FRS over the miata. It's just a little more practical plus, I like the looks of it.

Just my personal opinion. ;)

Knew a guy whose father had one. Seemed pretty reliable

Not sure about spares availability. But they seem really fun.

If i remember correctly they had toyota engines?

Will do all the work myself. (Pretty handy with a spanner)

Shipping a car across the ocean would be a bit pricy
