Two things.  They said it output the same amount of heat as the i7's they were using before, but with better performance.

 

Edit: Lol, this is posted on facebook, and the comments section is full of bitter AMD fans who didn't actually read the article, and just assumed it was a jab at AMD.

They also only said Ryzen, no exact model. But since that said it has twice as many cores, that restricts it to Ryzen 7 and mainstream i7. 

 

Not that it matters: the articke is really about water heating with CPUs, not some performance test of whatever. And the performance gains per $ or W for a cloud computing company are just too obvious anyway. People questioning "their methodology" is just hilarious

They said 1700X in the video.  The i7 was a 7700K.
