What Drives you to live

Evolution.
Go to solution Solved by Gaz3ll3,

I have honestly never thought about this subject. and it can understandably be truly a hard question to answer unlike some of you guys that answered relatively shortly.

In my opinion it is what I don't know that pushes myself forward and yet I do find myself day in and day out never pushing myself to do something different. I may be stuck in a rut with my life and just need that one thing to really push myself in a new direction. Each day I find myself waking up doing the usual human need then getting on the PC and gaming or heading off to work; get home and get back on the PC. Sleep and repeat. I recognize the fact that I have the problem that I fear the unknown and want to have a purpose as to why I go out and leave the house to go do something. Too often than not I want to know the unknown but make too many excuses to not find them out.

As humans there is  always something that gives us the drive to continue to live even those that contemplate suicide they do innately have a reason to live but are not immediately seeing it.

I live to be myself but at the same time be someone that is me but different. The drive to become someone that is wholly better than I currently am.

At the moment it's  correcting people.

Not dying is another factor.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

Pets, some few really amazing people, imagination, thirst for knowledge. (Should probably also mention ridiculous amounts of sugar). Some days it's just pure stubbornness, but other days... it's the little things that stand out.

Anyone who tells you that you can't do something is unimaginative and probably a coward.

If I die, I wouldn't be able to watch anime anymore... or read the new volumes of books I'm reading...

So it's that. Take those away from me and I have nothing that pushes me to continue living in this shitty ass world. Family? Friends? I can live without them. Anime? Fuck no.

I have a job that interests me greatly, friends that I care about immensely and who care about me, a really good family, and an absolutely wonderful girlfriend. I've got it pretty good atm. Before I had my job, my friends, and my girlfriend my motivation was that my family would be sad if they lost me.

since mine died it ruined cats for me.

@VenomZ_at the moment im trying to figure out exactly that.

to paraphrase the great rick and morty : "Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. We're all going to die. Come watch TV."

it really is hard for me to find something worth living for

I was thinking about commenting on this last night but eh.

I guess biological instinct, holding out hope for things working out when I turn 18 to get a GED, go to a community college for an Associates in General Studies and land a job in a Hospital or Clinic Pharmacy making way more money than what I could make at a grocery store and probably with less stress because I am a Customer Service Manager making the same as what I would've made if I wasn't a CSM. I eventually want to be a Health Care Administrator of some sort. I guess my mom and our animals, and @Dan Castellaneta :^

That sounds the generic 9 to 5 cycle that we're all gonna be stuck in.  Also man thing is you think everything is gonna be alright but trust  me a shit ton of obstacles come in your way when you're trying to accomplish something.

Oh no, I know there's going to be obstacles. Motivation to achieve that goal is one that I can for sure tell is going to be a big issue.

As far as generic 9 to 5. Idk it just seems that administrative roles in a hospital or clinic might not be that bad and could pay pretty well.
