Right here we use a comma to separate between the values and a decimal to represents cents. So for something like twelve thousand five hundred and 70 cents. We write it as $12,500.70. If we wrote $12.500.70 one would think of just $12.50

It's a language thing. English uses $12,000.70, while continental languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian... you get it :P) use $12.000,70.

One is supposed to change the numbering convention when changing languages, but it is a common thing to forget.

According to the links I posted, some places use none of that. The just put a spacing instead, such as Canada.

So twelve thousand and 70 cents

$12,000.70

12.000,70 €

12 700,70 CAD

No wonder why Canadian pricing on components are so damn high. :P

UK also uses comma instead of decimal, just like Murica! :D

Solano Community College in Suisun City, CA (First one, Graphic Design degree, did not finish that one)

Troy University in Dothan, AL (2nd one, finish my Associates in Computer Science)

Next one in line:  Auburn University in Auburn, AL (will be my 3rd, going for Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering once I am back State side)

I was born in south Alabama very close to Dothan. And Duke has played Troy several times over the last few years.

Of course, I have a bit of a soft spot for Auburn because of a guy named Cam Newton.

Quite the soccer program you have there. Also, it took me a very long time to realize your mascot is a kangaroo.
