Seems like a very credible source.  xD

Either way, we're just speculating at this point.

More so than WCCFT at least. :D

It would be very useful if I didn't have to rely on google translate to understand what the article says xD

Those buggers have written articles based on forum posts at OcUK, and even reddit.

Would not be surprised lol.

10w per core, if the 180w TDP is true with the 18 core model.

Looks to be they're bringing the better copies of the Skylake version of the 18 core chip over.  If they can get it to even 3.0 Ghz base clock under the thermals, I'll be surprised.

Wonder how many organs one would have to sell for one of these?

Considering that a guy in Taiwan sold a kidney for 9000USD to buy an iPad, you can probably just sell one organ and buy a whole system

I'm going to sell my brain, the CPU I'm going to buy should be enough to replace it anyways.

Here is why it is irrelevant that intel did this.  For the price of one 18 core i9 you'll be able to get two 16 core threadrippers.  So in the end AMD will still come out on top!!!

For the love of whatever you believe in, please do it.

and that's where you would be wrong. no idea why they're marketing them to gamers but bloated, enormous C++ builds on 32 threads

I'm guessing you're excluding business? Xeons go way way higher than $2k and most servers have two of them.

What is that 4c4t doing on fucking X299...

Platform adoption. It's going to be 100 Mhz above the previous K chips, so all of the "best gaming PC" lists will be forced to list the X-platform based chips.  It'll give us a good insight into who's actually on the paid shilling side of things.

It's important to note that the 7700 & 7600 variants are still just Dual Channel, so they're just repackaged of their z-platform models.

Not true. There's the extreme of robbing a bank, or becoming a gigolo.

Repackaged and getting a TDP bump to 112W.

Sounds like a crappy deal to me.
