Proves that the general public has no sense of value for money anymore. You can charge literally what you want if your name is Nintendo or Apple.

It also becomes probably the first thing to start having major errors with its design and starts f**ing up. *look up Nintendo Switch painful launch*

It doesn't count. a major part of sales are from scalpers and that includes a big part of those who didn't manage to resell them yet. I'd like to see how many consoles actually got powered on and updated. That would definitely give us a better estimate.

Ahaha, what? Sales sold from stores don't count now? Who cares what people do with the console after they buy it with their own money? I wish as much as anybody eBay would bar these from being put on their site for like 7 days but that will never happen, eBay gets a cut from all of it too. Completely useless point considering 37% of Steam games or something like that have never been launched. Still sold (or humble bundle I guess).

 

Then again I thought 4chan said the Switch wasn't selling at all, and a couple of anecdotes from other members in this forum. I guess 4chan isn't very reliable, who knew.

Well. Duh? NYC Nintendo store had a line of minimum 100 peopl at any given time for 19 hours straight, then again next day. Thats 10s of thousands of switches.

bought the WiiU version, now i just have to wait for CEMU to catch up so i can play it. Can't wait! 

10 march comes out the update that will make  it playable but won't be smooth, i'll probably have to wait a couple months for it to reach perfect status which i don't mind doing if it means enjoying the game at 4K and 60fps from start to finish.

While i wait i'll just give a spin at wind Waker HD, been ignoring it till now.

One day I will be able to play Monster Hunter Frontier in French/Italian/English on my PC, it's just a matter of time... 4 5 6 7 8 9 years later: It's finally coming!!!

it's literally one of the cheapest ever console launches.

It may or may not be worth actually buying or may be underpowered, but it's not expensive and I don't know why people keep saying that. Price is like the one thing it's got going for itself right now. 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I agree, it depends on how valuable it is to you as a product. If you believe that the price is fine because of what you'll get out of it as a product. I believe the price is fine because the games I plan on playing on it make the cost okay to me.

 

However someone is likely to disagree with me even though it is my opinion and choice to have purchased the console (even though I didn't buy mine, got it for free).

 

 

P.S I would have bought it anyway even if I didn't get it for free.

You clearly have no idea how the market works. There's a ton of R&D that went into it. The innovative hd haptic feedback, the ir scanner on one of the joy cons, and not to mention it's fairly unique design. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen any other device do anything close to similar to the Switch. The price is justified, however I was honestly expecting $250. $300 is highly understandable though.

yeah, you already posted that video in another thread and you also said you dont and will not own Switch so why do you hate on it so much? some people have faulty units, most people dont have any problems with it, same as any other product in history.

 

This goes for all of these haters... if you dont want it, dont buy it. That you don't like it, doesnt mean that others don't. I bought it and I find it perfect for my needs, but i do wish it'd have some more games and the games wouldnt be so freaking overpriced.


And no, I am not a Nintendo fan, its my first Nintendo console.
