I think everyone knew this already.

This may be true but I am happy to see it at least. Looking foward to my new build in the next few months.

Well this only makes sense, hopefully AMD can improve their drivers enough, along with mantle to outperform the 780. Then that would really be interesting.

GOOD.....now i'll look forward to rubbing it in when I slap my EK block on the 290x and overclock the F%&$ out of it.

and then throw on top revised drivers....then we will see what's the best choice....

It dropped about 200$ in price in Sweden, from 5690 SWE KR to 4390 SWE KR at Inet ( 6.34 Swe KR = 1 US $ )

Man can't wait for the price cuts plus the new holiday bundle to come into effect.  Getting a 780 or 770 with a Shield!!! :D

Actually you're wrong. :) Overclocking both, 780 could reach higher than the 290x, the 290x has much higher base temps, which means the reachable clock speeds are potentially lower. & to top this off, nvidia will be releasing 800 series in less then 6 months. So.. yeah.

Pfffft, the 780 will be cheaper than the 290X, and it runs cooler.

Ok with the price cuts what will the cost be that we will see in the US for the GTX 770 and GTX 780?

Don't hold your breath about Mantle. It may not be as revolutionary as AMD is claiming. And even if it allows GCN to perform much better than without Mantle, how many developers would actually switch over to it after developing on say DirectX or OpenGL for a while?
