Goddamnit AMD, when will you learn?

similar, oh really?

I mean didn't they say in their press conference that Polaris 11 is the dies they are going to integrate on Zen APUs?

Well it's not a full fledged RX 460. It's going to be bottlenecked because it uses system memory rather then it's own memory, also it won't be exactly 460 performance, it'll be a bit lower. So it is essentially GTX 950 performance.

how about 8gigs HBM on the CPU to use as vram and dram at the same time while dram can still be expanded as usual? HELL YEAH.

But even 950 Performance would be sick!

well, we will soon know.

I got a GTX 950, and i will get a AMD ZEN APU once they are out, as it would be a perfect match for my mITX case. Soooo.... it will be a easy comparison :P

Desktop APUs, right? Because if they have Zen mobile APUs planned for later in 2017 with RX 460 performance, that'd be real impressive. But still for desktop APUs that's pretty good still.

Still impressive. Would've been more impressive for a laptop, but I suppose it'd probably draw too much energy and output too much heat for it to work in a laptop. Well maybe one day, eh? Still kinda wished that it wasn't so hard to find APU based laptops because gaming on their IGPs/iGPUs is generally better than Intel IGPs/iGPUs.

How is 460 performance impressive? For starters we're only guessing the performance of it. But with that aside, we can assume the 460 will land somewhere between the 370 and 380 non x. But even with ddr4 it probably won't reach 380 numbers anyway.

Again there just isn't enough power for this to be useful to anyone. You either get it to respectable 1080p performance a.k.a. 380 or 380x performance or don't waste our time otherwise it will flop as hard as current APUs did.

Sad to see that AMD still hasn't learned a fucking thing, this stupid shit might very well lead them straight to bankruptcy.

I actually expected these APUs to have performance like it though. It's good for APU so no problem there.

We are not talking about the standalone 460 performance. We're talking 460 performance in an APU. That is what is impressive. And if it's reasonably priced, it'll be a success and we'll see sub 400$ builds which perform quite decent.

Dual graphics has always ran with only the lowest end cards and with cards of similar performance to the igpu in the apu. The a10 7850k could only run dual graphics with an r7 250. For this reason I think zen will only run dual graphics with a rx 460. It most probably won't run dual graphics with a 480.

If they come out with a powerful enough APU,it'll be fine.

Ryzen 5 1600 - GTX 980 Ti - Broke.

Do the high performance Zen's have iGPU's too, so people can build a system without a dedicated graphics card?

Decently? For csgo and mobas maybe no way this will run modern games Decently.

You mean no way it will run AAA Titles decently, and that's why you have AAA flagship cards. Not everyone plays Battlefield or Crysis

Well you should not expect to run games maxed out on this. It will be for budget computers. It will probably be able to play AAA games decently as well. Just turn down the settings and don't expect 60fps.

What are you a console gamer now?

How can you say decently immediately followed by not expecting 60fps? You can't expect decency with less tan 60 FPS period.

In fact by the time this stupid chip comes out the consoles will probably have their respective upgrades and will probably beat it at the same Price or lower.

You can redeem yourself by playing old CRPGs and Strategy games though.

Did you realise that not everybody wants to play AAA titles? And especially not on an iGPU? And do you realise that not everybody has 600+ USD to fork out to get a PC? Think about it.
