Rumoured 1060 Ti to use GP-104 with 6GB GDDR5

So we had our fair share of 1080 and 1070 rumours, now is time for the 1060 Ti!

This card is rumoured to feature GDDR5

 

 

So it seems Nvidia is bringing back the X60Ti? That's interesting.

Hope we get a 1060 Ti - the 660 Ti was the best value card of it's generation - a 960 Ti would have also been a welcome sight

If the memory overclocks well, then it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully it's an overclocking beast.

Don't forget the 560 ti. That may be the best value card of the last many generations.

It's not the size, it's how it's used.  

 

Even AMD is going to a smaller memory bus with their up coming Polaris 10 and 11 GPUs.

Yep, 256. Also wouldn't be surprised if they do 192 bit on Polaris 11.

I hope it's better than a 980. I think Nvidia even having a 1060 Ti would strongly hint that GDDR5X is a few months from being ready for the mass market, as others here have been hypothesizing. But they have to want to get that 1080 out by October at the latest for the Christmas shopping season that AMD looks like it's going to miss with Vega.

Its GP104 so there is a very good chance it's beating the 970. The price is the thing that I'm concerned about, lets hope Nvidia keeps it under 250.

I doubt it. The 660 Ti was $300 at launch.

Isn't this a bad thing if it has 6GBs of GDDR5? Its effectively wasted... being throttled by such small memory lanes.

thats quiet a bad yield, to have to make 1060ti out of a 312mm² chip designed to be a 1080, impact on price ?
