What's Missing on Your PC build Currently?

A fast SSD. I have one, a 128 GB, but it isn't the fastest. Here is the crystal disk mark. Also, a better video card would improve my build, but that's the case for pretty much everyone.

Yeah that is a pretty slow SSD, but hey, still better then an HDD.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

Decent GPU.

My GTX 980 bricked so i've had to swap to my old R9 270x for the meantime. Gonna save up and get a sexy Polaris card when they're out. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I am currently missing real GPU's. I spend 1800 on my system and only 120 bucks on a GTX 950. Its a hold over card until pascal/polaris comes out and I can get 2 of the $700ish ones. I still cant believe that I spend 315 on a 512gb 950 pro. Totally worth it though.

Same here with my current "In Progress" Build... It's only been in progress since March 2015. Blame the stinky Canadian Dollar.

Right now I'm rocking an Acer OEM HD 6750. Shows up as a 5750 for some reason though.

Good enough for the games I currently play, but I'm awaiting newer cards in hopes they'll price drop the current GTX 960 or 970.

White LED lighting and custom made cable extensions. :)

Would love cable extensions myself, specifically red, or red/black to finish off my Red, White, Black PC Build.

After a long think, the only thing it's "missing" is the CD/DVD ROM that I don't need.

A better video card. I'm still running the GTX 770 from my old rig. I really wanna get a GTX 970 or 980 but other crap keeps getting in the way, usually my car. Like right now. It needs tires and an alignment. To be honest though, the majority of the gaming I do right now, the GTX 770 is actually plenty strong. Still, it just bugs me to have an i7 4790K with 16GB of Dominator Platinum RAM and a 950 Pro NVMe SSD, and still be running that old video card.

Look at the picture, and my pcpartpicker parts list ... and tell me what you think is missing from my PC?

P1400180.JPG

Hint:  Does it looks like a certain large component that should be immediately below the 212 Evo ... is missing? ;) (At this point I'm waiting for Pascal/Polaris then anticipating budgeting $300-350 on that part.)

I do some gaming (Fortress Forever - same engine as TF2, maybe Descent Underground, Rocket League, etc), video & audio & photo editing, multi-hundred-tab web browsing, etc, and would like to get into analog video & audio capture (from VHS, 8mm, reel-to-reel, cassette, etc) and conversion to digital formats. :)  Oh, and I'm also starting to be in danger of running a bit low on storage space... :o  Btw there's more drives in the picture than on the part list - because some of them are older drives, and are not normally hooked up.  (I just have them mounted there cause I didn't have boxes with shock absorbing material to put them in.)

Only thing I want at this point is a 250 - 500 gb ssd dedicated for games. my 500 gb ssd that I have installed is where I put all of my programs and such and I don't want to fill it up with 60 gb games.

True, I guess this does have room for improvement. :D

P1400182.JPG

There are some on the front side that I just didn't really like bending them at a super sharp angle (like the USB 3 header, for example)...

I do hope you'll agree that it juuust may have been an ever-so-slight improvement over my previous (Feb 2008) build? :D

Or my dad's PC before that, or one of my brother's even older PCs (which we still had until sometime last year!)? :)

Maybe a better GPU, I'm running a GTX 760 and it's getting harder to play newer games on it now. at the frame rates I want. I could also use a better CPU but the GPU is where I really lack right now.

For it to be perfect it's missing the Tri-SLI setup that I want, the amazingly power mass SSD storage, and I need 8GB of RAM to complete my dream of having 32GB.

Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, 32GB Cosair Vengenace LP 3600mhz, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra,  Sabrent Rocket 4 1TB NVME SSD, WD Blue SN570 NVME SSD, 4TB Mass storage, EVGA 750W G2, Corsair 270R

I'm not using a case ATM, but I may move to a nice, small mATX one. I could also do with a better GPU, and a second SSD to add to my existing one, it gets too full.

you too?  Join the club :)  I have a 4790K, wonder if you have a higher-end CPU than me?  (which I guess would only be the 6700K, since LGA2011 doesn't have iGPU.)

Probably everything.

A new CPU; Celeron G1840 (this CPU isn't actually that bad once you put it to work)

A new GPU; GT 740 SC 4GB (this card isn't actually that bad either)

A new CPU cooler; stock Intel cooler ATM.

More RAM; 8GBs DDR3 1600. It's not bad for gaming but I also do video editing.

A new MO/BO; H81M-P33 ATM, would like to upgrade to Z170 soon.

A new case; "TKO Computers" ATX case with 2xUSB 2.0, Headphone/Microphone ports, and IEEE 1394 for front panel. Only USBs are connected to the MO/BO anyway.

A new monitor; Compaq WF1907 1440x900 16:10.

A new desk; We didn't have much money, so we literally cut up an old table tennis table and drilled it to the wall xD. (Ultra ghetto)

A new keyboard; 10 year old Logitech Internet 350 (Works great actually, and I saved it from death 2 times now, but I want a mechanical one)

A new mouse; $13 Mouse from Walmart. (Super unresponsive, latency is through the roof)

A new HDD; 2xWD3200BEVTs, 1xWD2500YS, would like to upgrade to 1TB+ and an SSD soon.
