Two days ago a brand new Hitman trailer has been made available, detailing the upcoming beta which will be held only on PlayStation 4 and PC. A few hours ago more on the PC beta and full version has surfaced online, thanks to the game’s Steam page.

The Hitman beta will include on both PlayStation 4 and PC the game’s first mission set in the ICA training facility. To access the beta on both platforms, players only have to pre-order the game. Sadly, it seems like there no Xbox One beta planned at the moment.

Last week, it’s been confirmed that Hitman will come with exclusive PS4 content, the Sarajevo Six, six additional contracts that will tell a side story focused on the CICADA unit.

Hitman will launch as an episodic game on March 11th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  At release, the game will include Prologue Mission, the Paris Sanguine Fashion Show, full access to Contracts Mode, Escalation Mode, elusive targets and other live content. Remaining content will be released throughout 2016, starting from April 2016.

No DX 12. So Sad. 770 and 290? Looks like crapworks game to me. Meh.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. Doesn't bother me at all that it's NVIDIA biased either.

and 770 against 280X

770 and 290 LOL GG.

Indeed, in what sane world are a GTX 770 and an R9 290 even REMOTELY comparable? The GTX 770 is more or less a rebranded 680 w/ upgraded RAM. The 680 is comparable to a 7970 (280x), performance wise. There's a pretty huge performance gap between the 280x and the 290.

What the fuck? And people don't even bat an eye at this anymore. If these requirements pan out, and you get similar performance on a GTX 770 and a 290, then the game devs need to do some SERIOUS optimizations still.

An R9 290 should absolutely wreck a GTX 770. Like... it should even be close. A 290 can match/beat a GTX 780 Ti in most cases for fuck's sake...

Tessellated dust would not surprise me in the least, though I think the tessellated invisible sea under Crysis 2, is the king of ridiculousness.

Looking at that GPU system requirements looks like Nvidia gameworks meddling to me lol. Reminds me of how Fallout 4 ran really good on my R9 270, then they released an updated that tanked my performance and added a bunch of Nvidia shit, then they released another update that made the game run even better than before. Hurts my brain.

Everyone already going on about Gameworks and it being bad, yet the game is going to be a Gaming Evolved/AMD Sponsored one. You can see how biased people are without even a shred of evidence that NVIDIA is involved.

AMD even says it's going to use DX12 and A-Sync Shaders. So if the 290 is suddenly not good enough, blade IO or AMD :P

With on-staff game developers, source code and effects, the AMD Gaming Evolved program helps developers to bring the best out of a GPU. And now in 2016, Hitman gets the same PC-focused treatment with AMD and IO Interactive to ensure that the series’ newest title represents another great showcase for PC gaming

  • 2 weeks later...

I can play it on low on my GTX760 and the graphics quality is really poor.

I don't think they can fix that till release.

Or they gave the job of writing the requirements to a monkey on meth, the usual (remember the R7 260X/760 minimum for  Quantum Break ).

Sometimes devs write the system requirements based on what GPUs they have available with them to test.

For example Witcher 3 also gave this recommended specs of GTX 770 and R9 290. But as expected when actually playing the game the AMD GPU pulled ahead easily...
