I made 400 dollars from coding some scrubs website

i have a pc currently with these parts:

i5 4440 (stock cooler)

r9 270x dual x 4gb sapphire edition

H1 Sniper H6 (LGA1150)

An OK case... (i cheaped out on the case but im fine with it)

Western digital blue 1TB

dvd drive

etc

PSU IS 500 wat EVGA BRONZE i dont think a 980 can run on it

what can i add to it with 400 dollars, what should i sell...

 

The first boot of the computer was april first, 2015 lol

its really new

sell gpu get a gtx 970 or r9 390

 

then either upgrade monitor if needed or ssd

Either way, you could sell your GPU and get a 390X (if you PSU is any good).

 

Otherwise you can invest in a second monitor (or third) or a new keybaord ?

SSD man, just spend $70 or so on a BX100 or 850 Evo 250gb, you'll have such a better time. When I switched from an old HDD to SSD, the difference was night and day! You'll still have plenty of money to get a r9 390 if you want!

I programmed his website from scratch, and gave him the ability to edit it whenever he wanted (not locked)

he needed a startup

SSD! If you don't have one, get one. It's the best and most noticeable improvement you can make to your pc. Just get a 240gb even like cheap PNY will make load times lightning fast. 

Can't store many games, but the ones you play most will benefit greatly. 

Also if it's free money, might as well buy a new PSU with at least 750w to be totally prepared for upgrades later. I say this because it's a really boring part, but worth it in the long run.

 

$100 for an SSD (being generous)

$150 for PSU (again, generous, but not by much)

$150 for maybe water cooler for CPU or some more fans, another HDD etc.

Sounds like BS, but I hope it's not true. As long as it has at least a bronze rating it should keep your parts say. That's what the ratings are for.

my reccomendation is still valid and to be safe just get a 970

it doesnt fit in my case...

what are you using for a monitor?

 

also, $400 is enough for a decent power supply and very good graphics card. or you could buy an SSD ( 512 ) maybe or you can keep saving for a year or so until the next best thing arrives.
