Gigabyte releases new XTREME GAMING lineup of GTX cards

Gigabyte has released their new lineup of XTREME GAMING GTX cards, including the 970, 980, 980TI, and Titan X.

There's also a pre-existing 950 model, but there's no word of a 960 model.

In addition, the 980 TI XTREME GAMING will be getting a Waterforce cooler variant with a closed loop 120mm AIO.

 

With the successful debut of the GTX 950 XTREME GAMING graphics card, GIGABYTE, the world's leading premium gaming hardware manufacturer, is ready to roll out five more high-end cards in its premium XTREME GAMING lineup, each crafted with overpowering performance, astonishing design, and added gamer-centric features to take gaming experience to a whole new level.

 

There are a few unique features that sets this apart from the popular G1 Gaming lineup, including fan & shroud RGB Illumination, power indication LED's, and more power phases. They are also binned higher.

 

Depending on how much more these are compared to the G1, I could see these becoming popular. If it's a $40 premium, I'd say it'd be worth it for the better OC you'll be getting.

Would like to see more companies dish out some GPUs with non-reference AIO coolers. I know AMD does it already by reference on some cards, though I want to see the companies that make custom coolers give a cool water cooling option too.

Idk why you'd even buy a hybrid 980 ti really, for the same price you can get things like the 980 TI Lightning / Matrix / nearly a Kingpin, all of which are way nicer & more premium.

AIO cooling on GPUs has other benefits than just lower temps and increasing OC potential. Some people want them for their much quieter operation.

I think the craziest was when they made the Waterforce Triple GTX980s

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
