Sandy Bridge right now OC'd won't be holding anything back.

And Skylake is just too far ahead IPC wise.

AMD will be relevent again if everything else is fixed... The high latency cache + around 25-30% IPC increase will bring it to around Ivy/Hw

DDR4 does have it's benefits too.

I am rooting for them to come out with an impressive CPU with Zen.

Really spammy post; but they kind of do, Intels going for a monopoly at this rate, price gouging and lack of innovation, it's basically CANCER to any decent progress. You're saying older CPUs like SandyBridge are still fine? Strive for excellence not acceptance for one, and for two, part of the reasons SB is half as decent compared to SL is because AMDs not caught upto intel, so Intel can take it easy if AMD and Intel were on par with each other just racing neck and neck Skylake would probably have 2x the performance gap from SandyBridge that it has now...

Agreed, Intel are just kicking the sand a little in front of them now, if Zen isn't on par with intels current gen of CPU then it's pretty much over due to everyone's intel bias even if Zen is slightly behind and costs less people will still just ram an intel in their rigs.

If any of you thought about it like i said... An AMD CPU between ivy and haswell in ipc with it's cache fixed would be a great CPU... None of us truly need even haswell for gaming... CPU/s are getting like software with last gen consoles.. Nothing taxes it enough.

We don't know that yet, the chip isn't even out, no one has leaked any performance, everything is pure speculation right now.

Because what you're saying is speculation and a lot of this forum speculate it will fail, so there is literally no point in you bringing it up in any form of post because this forum is Intel or GTFO. 

Because currently AMD is trash and they don't reaaaally have the means of catching up, they rely on foundries to produce their CPU's which seem like that will delay their Zen architecture too, which means Intel can push out at least one more generation of cpu's and who the fuck knows what the hell they can come out with.

 

 

All this speculation is just dreaming. Intel is not going to let AMD catch them ever again, they are just too far ahead.

Because Captain, there are no fucking facts to back up either side other than speculation...

 

Most people assume Zen will fail, there is a heavy Intel bias here. If Zen is literally 10% slower than an Intel people will just slam an intel into a board and call it a day. Even when people have 2 coins to rub together and an AMD APU build would suit their needs, people on here insta-recommend fitting an i5..
