I get your point. My parents (at least when I lived at home) paid 40% income tax and we all pay 20% (in essence) sales tax and some of that goes on helping the poor, you know, the people who didn't perhaps work as hard as my parents did or whatever. Point is that in a civilised society, we pay taxes and we don't expect to get it all back into our pockets because some of it will go into helping those who were dealt a less fortunate hand than us (like if we were born in Latin America into a cartel family and escaped to the USA for example).

how many US bases are there in Japan? I can't count it they're littered all over not just in okinawa but there are sattelite bases all over that small nation let alone the rest of the world. these bases need to be maintained to the highest spec... military spec and manned. then we talk about the huge moneyhole of waging war and maintaining that presence in the middle east.

ok lets step away from the military how much is the govt subsidizing the food industry corn and soy. how many corporations have paid their share of taxes? how much have they funneled to overseas stockpiles

People like Trump also seem to fail to grasp that the more legal immigrants you let in, the less illegal immigrants that you'll have. America (and Canada) are built on immigrants - both legal and illegal.
