They don't need to follow through,  if they fail they have a back up plan; they simply roll out Huddy who blames Nvidia.  :o  :ph34r::P

It'll simply be a Titan competitor. Fully unlocked core. Priced beyond what most enthusiasts can actually afford, while the rest of their 3xx line is nothing but rebrands.

Not quite rebrands, but close. Supposedly the R9 290x was never a full Hawaii GPU, and the mess of defects is why they ran so hot and consumed so much power. Fully unlocked with a nice overclock, we could easily see a 20% performance increase over the 290x.
