How large is the download, exactly?

65GB, but I've read it locked in currently at 60GB.

Rockstar's downloader is inconsistent.  There are periods when my Internet connection is maxed out, but it seems to fluctuate wildly.  If I pause the download and resume, it will max out for a few minutes and fluctuate again.  Not sure if this is throttling by my ISP or load-balancing on Rockstar's part.  Whenever I download through Steam, the client wants all the bandwidth I have.  Very rarely do I have slowdown issues through Steam.

Man, how long ago did this game come out. Seems hard for me to be excited about it knowing how old it is. I think it was like 1.5 years ago it first came out. Jesus.....

 

And about the pre-order ideology. It should be all or nothing. It's sad that people cave in. You gotta start somewhere. You can't have the mentality of thinking it's not going to make a difference. I'm not going to list examples about why this mentality is wrong....there are too many examples. Rosa Parks comes to mind. Just accepting something as if you can't change it....Why have ANY ideals at all if that's the case?

I ordered the game on DVD, because it was quite a bit cheaper that way. I heard that there is no disk required to play the game, and that the DVD's are just for installation. If that isn't the case, then i hope my pc's optical drive isn't as loud as my ps3's, people complain about a printer over voip if i got my ps3 on.

the DVD isn't required to play, is just for install, that's confirmed
