Even the countries that are doing better in terms of LGBT rights still has some ways to go to fully equalize LGBT people to their hetero counterparts.

I suppose it's the Christian roots that my school has (English grammar school, over 500 years old, has royal patronage, etc. etc.) but honestly, I've never really raised LGBT stuff with teachers: not even the IT technicians (who I'm good friends with and we are on a first-name basis somehow), when we were talking about motorcycles (one of the techs used to ride).

It will get there in time. Telling others they have to accept us is something I oppose, rather, let them know we're otherwise normal, and allow them to reach that conclusion on their own.  Eventually, logic will prevail.

That's not what I was getting at.

I agree telling people to accept a group of people is not very ethical. Though tolerance would be greatly appreciated. (Tolerance is way different than acceptance, both are good though.)

By tolerance I mean like states like NC and MO creating these anti-LGBT laws that's not tolerance. Though a tolerant thing would be not to make bills like that but not make any bills that directly affect LGBT people.

 

However yes eventually it'll happen. It's just a shame there's still a ways to go in quite a few places.
