Yes, that's what I said it is.  It is a desktop (Well, more enterprise specialty, but still) motherboard that supports Socket G2 which was primarily built for mobile.  It uses a mobile chipset as well.  I presume that it's built for lower power consumption and lower TDPs in situations where you'd still want non-mobile connections, like ITX, standard IO plates, more than one HDD, ect.  And I'll use it in an ITX build that'll have a mobile CPU at it's heart.

Pretty neat motherboard! You should post the build when you're done I'm sure people would be interested in this setup!

It seems like it'd have a rather niche market for it I'd guess.  

 

I'd think most people would just use more commonly available motherboards that use desktop CPUs.  

 

Sorry.  I don't mean to imply this isn't cool.  That is very cool that you can reuse parts from your laptop with this to do a new build.

I'm planning a build log thread basically titled 'Can you turn an old laptop into a desktop?' and I'll be using the SilverStone Raven RVZ01-E as a case.  ...But first I want my new laptop so that I can disassemble the old one and see if that mobo even actually WORKS or not.  It's sat in a box since I got it nearly a year ago. >_>  Could be DOA! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I'll tag you in the build log thread.  Gimmie a week or two.

Actually no...  I didn't know what I was doing it seems and I lost.

You're supposed to pick a country and find out what the most common symptoms are present in those regions as you spread around the globe. After a while you start to increase your virulence while decreasing your susceptibility to environmental effects and medicine. Once you've got a foot hold on the majority of regions, you can slowly increase your mortality rates by mimicking other diseases until there's only one guy left and you completely stop your virus's effects by downgrading it completely... Are your legally allowed to open your mail?  Or they were going through your stuff and found letters from something to do with your medical stuff?

Tbh it was my fault they found the letter. I left it open on my desk when i went out for a bit, still sucks tho

Lame IMO that they'd go through your mail regardless.. snooping around in your room is not cool imo.

 

If you don't mind my asking, as this process obviously has physically altering aspects, what was your plan in terms of revealing it to them? Were you waiting to move out first or some other milestone?
