Fucking noice.

 

Yepp. Took my shitty CM power supply and gave me a 80+ Plat AX Modular PSU instead, fucking love them.

I'm replacing my 750D with a H440 most likely though :3 As much as I love them, the h440 is just perfect.

Ok I might just have to make my corsair cooler leak accidentally all over my pc now.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Not with a watercooler, If you mount it in there, it just ends up getting choked and your temps go up about 10-20c. Had to help a guy with that problem.

Not with a watercooler, If you mount it in there, it just ends up getting choked and your temps go up about 10-20c. Had to help a guy with that problem.

I plan to use the hairdryer mod of removing the foam on the top to try and unstarve it. Worst case scenario (get it? case?) I'll just make my own holes in the roof to give it some airflow. my miracle CPU runs at 40C under load with a 4.9Ghz overclock.

No real mistakes as such with my rig.

 

I've gone from having 2 1280x1024 monitors to running a single 1080p one. The GTX 650 works OK for the games I have, but it will need to be upgraded soon.

 

Predominantly, I play Halo CE, which would run using the on board GPU with my i3 4160. But for bigger games, it won't suffice with the slightly larger res. I'll upgrade to a Quad core CPU, at the same time.

kinda cheaped out on my first power supply - Cooler Master GX650 80+ bronze. It killed a 7950 and R9 290 in less than a year of use (was able to RMA both cards, fortunately). Hear me now folks; stay very far away from the CM GX series PSUs!!!

Using the Dell motherboard well overclocking the 650ti... And HD 7770. HD 7770 would make the board lose power at it's max unstable overclock then not want to reboot... Plus the board is like 7-8 years old with a dead audio amp, and every USB port always looses power...

Mine would have to be my current case. I bought an Antec dark fleet DF-85 case with the special over sized cp-1000W PSU and two years later i regret it all. I looked around a bit but didn't do much research before i bought it. I am currently now looking at finally upgrading to a nice Corsair case and PSU. So what do you guys regret doing or buying?

the psu seems fine....

I built my rig specifically for GTA V back when it released on PS3, my thinking was that I was only a few months behind the PC release.

 

now its finally out and I'm at least two generations behind in hardware.

 

it plays ok, so I'm not too upset. but a bit annoying as it was basically useless for the past year and a half as this game was its only purpose...

 

 

beyond that, I STUPIDLY bought a GeForce 6100, thinking the 6 series was an upgrade from my FX5200.  I was a teenager, and this was a long, LONG time ago. luckily I was able to return it and get a ATI all-in-wonder 9600XT to play half-life 2 on.   that was the first REAL graphics card I bought with my own money.  before that it was the 5200, which was given to me from an uncle, and before that, integrated graphics playing unreal 1999 on software rendering on a HP pavilion.

The title is pretty self explanatory, what did you rush out and buy and the instantly regret when you tried it out? Does it still haunt you till this day?

My biggest regret was pre-ordering BF4 the ultimate edition, turns out it's worse than bf3 and was super buggy at the time. Bye bye 120$

My first android phone, Samsung Galaxy Ace... I rushed to buy a phone, and i didn't even properly research it beforehand (come on, HTC Google Nexus One at the time was ~50 euros cheaper)...
