You Can Make your Eyes from Brown to Blue For $5,000

Stroma Medical has come out with a new technique which makes permanent eye color changes possible. The non-invasive procedure takes just one minute.

The treatment only applies to brown eyes because, as Stroma chairman Dr. Gregg Homer says, "under every brown eye is a blue eye." Stroma's technique removes a very small layer of pigment on the surface of the eye and therefore reveals the blue eye.

Stroma's treatment doesn't show up immediately and you'll need to wait a few weeks for your eyes to change color. Once they do change, you'll never go back to brown. Stroma is only able to offer this treatment in places like Mexico and Costa Rica right now and it's working on approval in the US.

 

Stroma Medical hasn’t been given the greenlight to offer the procedure here in the States, but has already perfomed it on a number of patients living in Mexico and Costa Rica. It doesn’t come cheap though — treatments have reportedly been going for about £3,300, which roughly equates to $5,000 American.

When I was young until about the age of 13ish my eyes literally would change color based on what I wore. Sometimes they were blue, sometimes green, sometime hazel, sometimes brown. Now they are hazel, but sometimes they will turn mostly green. Sometimes.

I shit you not on the blue though. Classmates though I was wearing color contacts it was so strong.

Whelp, at least there are still those of us who were born with beautiful eyes thanks to the genetics lottery. I can't believe they're taking that away from us now .

It is estimated that 8% of the world population has blue eyes.

It is estimated that 2% of the world population has green eyes. 

Blue and green eyes have the rarest occurrence globally.
