Now i suddenly want some

EDIT: If two 980's under LN2 have a bigger score than 2 980's i dont want one now.

Until i see game benchmarks

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

- WCCFTECH

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Speculation has it sitting around $1349 USD, but I feel like it will launch for the magical $999.

Is that a good thing? :P

With that kind of boost I can see Nvidia thinking it's worth 1400$.

IDK what scaling means

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Doubt it will be 1k: it has way too much of a comfortable lead on everything. It will be 1300-1500 at launch and once and if the 390(x) comes out and comes close to those levels, then you might see it drop to 1k

Scaling is the performance boost going from 1 card to 2, 3 or 4 as compared to the single card. Optimally, you probably want 85%+ scaling for an extra card to be worthwhile. This card doesn't get there, but I expect finalized drivers to help a bit.

Those numbers seem kind of... Off, only a 20% at the most  increase for what will likely cost more than twice as much as a 980? I was kinda expecting something, crazy with all the hype they gave it :l

Keep in mind the TITAN line isn't about value. Compare prices when the next gen GTX x80 card comes out.

Seems to go neck and neck with the alleged R9 390X benchmark. That thing got X8121 in 3D Mark11 Extreme and we don't know if that's stock or overclocked.

Oh trust me, I know that. And don't get me wrong, if those are right its still the most powerful card on the market for single gpu functionality. But even in their testing, the $600 295 is kicking it's ass.

Still doesn't fit the rumored specs.

If it has 3000 Cuda Cores as rumored it should be around 50% faster than a GTX980 with this performance the card would have around 2500-2700 Cuda Cores at best.

The $630+ R9 295X2 is kicking it's ass while having dual GPUs, consuming near 500W and utilizing an AIO cooler. It kicks it's ass, but not without compromise. And coming from me, the 295x2 is a respectably good card.

Pretty much Twice as fast as the original Titan.

:)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

VRAM is expensive. The Titan X has three times as much of it as a 980.

That aside, in neither of the above benchmarks are any of the cards bottlenecked by VRAM. Only when tested in its gaming niche (high resolutions) will the Titan X show what it can do.

Still doesn't change the fast that it's performance gain over the titan is the same, if not more in cases than the performance gain of the titan ofer the 980. My point is, something here doesn't make sense. Either it's the card, or all the hype people are trying to get started about it.

And you can buy an R9 290X with 8gb of it for about $100 more than a 4gb variant. It's really not all THAT expensive. It takes extra time in R&D, but enough to justify nearly a 130% increase in price over the last generation's iteration? (if pricing esitmates tand)

But it's not like it matters anyway. People will buy it, not matter what the cost is, because its black, has tons of pointless vram (for most applications) and a shit ton of cuda for content creation.

And next generation, they'll make another Titan with a 15% performance increase over the last top teir card, and charge 150% more for it, because it has 20gb of vram! But that's the nature of a company like nvidia, amd, and intel. If they can get more money from a product, they will get that more money.

Yeah, bottom-of-the-barrel ELPIDA NAND in a triple-PCI slot consuming design on a card that uses twice the power, that you can't even buy from anywhere on the planet apart from the EU, or if you're economically suicidal, importing it with all the import fees associated.

Straw man argument more please.
