Lamborghini adding speed to the hybrid

Voltz

Lamborghini announced their new car the Asterion, their new plug in hybrid with an astounding 910 total horsepower and a cool look

 Lamborghini_Asterion_3-4_Front.0.0_stand

The Asterion LPI 910-4:

" LPI stands for "longitudinale posteriore ibrido," a reference to the location of the 610-horsepower V10 and the hybrid drivetrain".

The car features a 910 total horsepower in its all-wheel-drive configuration, where 300 comes from electric motors. The car can operate at 910 horses full mode, or at 200mph in its electric mode which "delivers power to motors mounted in the front axle alone", which give it a 62mph in three seconds.

Hybrids are still relatively rare in the performance segment, although they're gaining acceptance: Ferrari's LaFerrari and McLaren's P1 have both climbed on the hybrid train. What makes Lamborghini unique with the Asterion is how hard it's pushing the environmental angle:

As with all Lamborghinis, the Asterion has a bull-themed name: in this case, it's "the proper name of the mythical Minotaur," the company says — half-man, half-bull. Hybrid, get it?

Damn you VW and audi, you've gone and fucked up Lamborghini now! they no longer make edgy, controversial looking cars that can be drawn entirely with a ruler and can kill you just looking at it. First the Aventador was too tame with all its safety kit and all IMO, then the Huracan was just an R8 with a different body kit, now this!

I'll go and get myself a purple diablo SV thank you, until you get back to making the italian version of TVRs again.

One of the 2 Lambos I find appealing visually. This and the Countach.

I personally am not a big fan of Super Cars though. I'd much rather have a Suabru WRX STI Hatchback.

Looks awesome and I like the tech behind it. I like the raised body as having a really low body is hell whenever you get anywhere near hills or speed bumps.

I mite need to read more into it but adding the horsepower of a gas engine and electric motor doesn't seem correct to me. Electric horsepower and Mechanical horsepower are different things. I know 1 horsepower equals ~746 watts in both applications. So I guess adding them is fine?

It's cool that you made a Hybrid and all that, but stick to standard Lambo design. This is just not a Lambo and it's ugly. :)

Looks like a frog, i dont like it :S

Frogs are fucking awesome. =P

I actually really like how this looks, despite being a lover of the Countach-to-Aventador body shape and the word 'Ferrari' being the very first thing to come to mind upon seeing it.
