Youporn has a uniform for their e-sport's team

No, it just looks gay to me, I stereotype the colour pink, since over here there was this Pink dot campaign where gay men wear Pink T-shirts in-order to get people to realise something, then the other religions are opposing this by wearing white t-shirts, our government does not like Homos.

So you feel sad for someone because of the color of someones shirt?

If teenage boys are curious enough, they'll get access to porn regardless.  Not sure why you assume they have an "addiction" though.

Some forms of audio/visual stimulus (nearly always porn) trigger the release of dopamine in many developing brains. This is in essence the hallmark of addiction.  It is not the same as a chemical addiction and one that is the subject of much research,  suffice to say many psychologists won't consider it an addiction if the subject does not suffer withdraw effects, but do consider it to play a significant role in memory and learning and thus more of a behavioral addiction/modification.

Take an extreme case and dull it down a little to imagine the effects on a developing brain.

And a more generalized look at what addiction actually is:

They will depend on it to make them feel good at times or can be an escape. it's just the hormones the body releases.

I guess thats true, But Gaming isn't all 18+, lots of younger viewers watch e-sports. Most youtube channels for gaming, league is around 10-16. I just don't see this being anyway helpful to minors being unable to control their temptations, feeling and addictions with this stuff.

Only 12% of gamers are under the age of 18.

It would be pretty funny to be sponsored by YouPorn; It would also be pretty funny to wear the uniform at least once. However, I doubt any one would really enjoy it in the long run.

If I can, I'll buy a YP jersey.

-snip-

thats 33 million people worldwide and 4.1million in the US alone. and it just proves my point; if 50% of gamers can get addicted to video games, 1 out of every 2 minors can get addicted to porn.

Not bad, thought they would try to put in an innuendo, but that looks like a professional jersey.

Good job YP.

If they're watching it the point of not excelling in other parts of their life, then yes, that is addiction.  I also think it's vastly important for parents to explain that porn is not the same as real life sexual encounters.  It's merely actors portraying a fantasy.

My primary point is that the mere consumption of porn does not automatically make a person an addict.  Sadly, there are a lot of mixed messages in media that can really damage a young person's psychological well-being.  Demonizing normal sexual desire is one such thing.

I just watched a very interesting documentary on the porn industry.  really opens the eyes about how humans treat sex.  I would definitely agree that demonizing sexual desire is a very dangerous thing, especially for developing teens.

It's interesting that you mention that.  I've had conversations with people on forums similar to this one.  I have asked the question of whether or not Male A would ever be in a relationship with a porn star if they hit it off intellectually/emotionally, etc.

Not surprisingly, this person stated that they would be willing to sleep with them but not take them home.  When I asked why, they responded with because they are <insert several derogatory terms here>.  Ironically, these same type of people will go home and sit in front of their computers to look at them yet they don't see the irony.

and the funny thing with that was that some of the porn stars they interviewed showed more emotional maturity than the guy in your conversation.  In fact one was downright honest about how he felt about the stars he acted with and the effects that had on him.   I think we don't give some people enough credit and other people too much.

I love all the people pretending the overlap between the gaming community and porn consuming community isn't something like 90%, Both on here and in the news.

Porn accounts for 40% of all internet traffic

There is a lot of stigma surrounding that industry.  Fun fact: Porn stars are much less likely to spread STDs than people outside of porn.  They get tested every two weeks.  Source: Nina Hartley

So what was your point? I was pointing out that "most" gamers are in fact NOT under the age of 18. You act like if YP wasn't a sponsor they would never know porn existed.

What irony? There is no irony in that. The people see their dating partner as a person. They see porn as a piece of ass. Which is natural if you consider both human tendencies and the way porn works.

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

It's ironic because they like their work enough to masturbate to it, but at the same time don't respect their choice as an individual.  If an individual likes watching porn, why would it make sense to shame or degrade them?

Awesome, I love this. If I were on one of the teams that had to wear this I'd be glad, it's a great opportunity for some stupid fun. Maybe that's just me though.

I don't really think, it's realistic though. There are better things to sponser then a E-sports team for them atleast..

I never knew about youporn till it was tweeted to me by someone so obviously the marketing works.

did you even follow the link? it's Dota 2 and CS GO teams.

Funny thing is I actually know one of the people that's going to be sponsored. He always trolls via voip talking about how much he wants to lick your lolipop so it's pretty ironic.

It's not about respecting their choice as an individual. It's about not wanting your partner to make a plethora of videos getting naked and boinkin' of random-ass people while being "committed" to you. Not everyone is into an "open" relationship.
