My replacement for my WASD Keyboard showed up:

With the box white switches installed, new key caps installed.

Kind of stinks I had to order the complete assembled keyboard, when they offer a barebones / kit style one, but it was sold out. Had to take what I could get, since full size keyboards are harder to get these days.

Where did you order this? I always wanted a custom keyboard with a full keypad that didn't look crazy. This looks clean, lol.

During the time of the highest prices ever for used cars, my 20yo VW Golf died and I had to buy something. Decided to go with an older RAV4 and I am loving it so far. Not new, not fancy, but it is big enough for what I do and has a pretty powerful engine.

And it'll likely be fairly reliable.

That is a Keychron board. After having several WASD boards and my son has a couple Logitech boards, I can say this Keychron is definitely in another league. I'm impressed, with it.

I have the K6. Defiantly worth the money.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

That was probably the main reason for buying it. VWs actually have gotten worse with diesel and gas engines having problems that may cost you with frequent repairs. Timing chains are one of the main issues and those repairs often cost 1500 bucks if detected early enough and are far more expensive in case of a failure, Diesel engines on the other hand just gunk up after the scandal and software updates...

Long story short, that very much shortens the list of used cars in Germany one can confidently buy. Skoda, VW, Audi and Seat all have those same problematic engines.

A buddy of mine, a mechanic, suggested Toyota and I went for it.

Their gasoline engines in the US aren't much better honestly, also timing chain issues abound among other annoyances like PCV failures causing engine sludging, annoyingly placed water pumps, they're just generally expensive to maintain vehicles and when something does go really wrong and they need an engine replaced you can't trust anything used to not also need expensive repairs before being installed or to not already be half dead...and new are ludicrously expensive and sometimes months on back order. Almost $10,000 USD and a 6 week wait for a TFSI engine for one vehicle last year and because of what failed and how the insides looked it would probably need a turbo as well. All for a used car they paid $5,000 for. That's why there's a pretty steady source of VW's in junk yards.

I am fed up with the annoying latency of my WiFi in my room so I'm finally doing the Switch to Ethernet all the things. And I'm gonna do that by running a flat Cat 6 Cable through underneath the Door of my room to the Switch on the Wall downstairs. My room Door is made out of Wood and there is a few millimeter gab between it and the Wooden floor so I should be able to easily tape a flat Network Cable to the Floor and still be able to close the Door with no problem. So everything from the Network Upgrade purchase has arrived except for the flat Network Cable:

I've had poor luck with tp-link and stable network performance in the past, I've been using Trendnet switches with excellent stability for a while now.

If your house was built within the last 10-15 years it's possible and likely that your phone jacks are Cat5 and you can just get a new wall receptacle and then grab the wiring where it passes out to the phone box.

I had that issue on my Toyota for the plastic fender liners, I found a riv-nut and stainless bolt combo which fit the hole in the sheet metal then used the bolt with a decorative aluminum anodized washer (made for drones I guess?) to secure it. It holds better, infinity re-usability, and it adds a nice splash of panache to an otherwise boring part of my car.

Same reason I bought some breast cancer pink Snap-on tools. It's a weird color and oddly Men are afraid of pink stuff so it's less likely to be stolen. Like...it's a tool it does a job OH NO IT'S AN UNEXPECTED SHADE OF RED. Ha, I love it. I'd gladly take more tools in PINK if it meant they're easier to find and less likely to be taken. High vis green and yellow are good too, people seem to dislike those. I don't understand people who buy all black hand tools like socket sets...are you just trying to lose them all!?!?

Most impacts are black phosphate finished because chrome makes the steel brittle, but I mean non impact stuff like hand sockets, extensions, ratchets, wrenches, big drivers, etc. Not every black socket is impact but almost every socket that's impact is black.

Other items recently ordered, a ps/2 keyboard so I can actually install windows xp on the p4 system since the usb keyboard doesn’t work outside of the bios, only when in the bios or when in an OS, which is immensely annoying because I can’t get past the the “press any key to boot from disc” thing when trying to boot an xp install cd.

and Royksopp’s Melody AM cd, one of my favorites from ages ago and I picked up this pretty clean copy for my collection

I also learned you can just buy sex toys on Amazon so I spent all my Amazon gift card balance like that.
