Laptop docking stations.  Get a HP, a Lenovo, and a Dell business laptop + their proprietary docking solution.  Compare against some of the 'generic' alternatives available for run-of-the-mill consumer laptops.  Compare their features, and figure out which is the 'best' platform for the purpose.  Explain how a student/business person who expects their laptop to last for years should really have one of these platforms *instead* of wearing out their USB, HDMI/DisplayPort ports, Ethernet, etc., plugging in and out all the time (as they're only rated/usable for a finite number of insertions before they become flakey/damaged/worn!).

 

Show how convenient it is to merely dock and undock at the press of a button instead of attaching/detaching a bunch of cables (ie: Ethernet, USB, power, speakers) to your laptop every time you bring your laptop home and/or to your office (whichever the case may be!).  Maybe a scene showing the time each day saved multiplied by 1000 times (ie: 3 years!).

 

There's literally no side-by-side review on the Internet of any of this stuff, so it would be unique.  Broken USB and power ports plague a lot of heavy laptop users in my experience, and this really helps with that problem.

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Whats the difference between the FTW edition and the normal standard everyday vanilla 750ti? Because I own one of those...

Different power delivery, binned, and possibly better cooling. (Then some other random features)

These "Hear One" earbuds look really cool they adjust to the noise around you. But they are really expensive for most people so i think it would be the perfect thing to review.
